OK, I've got a new one I've thought of. The building where I work has a cafeteria in it, and the vent for the grills is outside near on of the parking lots that I happen to park in. It always smells like frying hamburgers when I walk by, which reminds me of Disney for some reason. Sometimes it smells like bacon, too. mmm...bacon!

One of the cooler smells I have gotten was the smell of the RTS buses. Rutgers had some RTSs and every RTS has the same smell on board. I honestly felt that if I closed my eyes I could be on my way to one of the theme parks as opposed to class.

But what a rude shock that would be when you opened your eyes and you weren't stepping off to the Happiest Place on Earth  :(

Because of having been at WDW during wildfires, sometime when I smell wood smoke I think of Disney.

how close was the smell to "Rome burning"?

I remember when a lot of Florida and Georgia had wildfires a year or two ago...and the smoky smell made it all the way into Alabama.

We had wildfires by Disney while I was still living down there. It really wasn't the same type of smell to be honest. I do remember that that thought crossed my mind as I drove to and from Disney about the times the fires were going on...

Rome burning is more of a deep, woodsy, smokey smell ~ I don't think it is very similar to brush fires. I've never really smelled the same sort of smell that they use in Rome anywhere else except a scratch and sniff sticker.

Rome Burning smells, like a hardwood oak burning slow or almost smoldering rather than burning.

We actually have some of the tar they use for that smell. It was sent to use by a friend and is doubled bagged in a sealed jar. There is a caution written on it about how if you get it on you, it will "NEVER" come off!!

Okay, that's it. Next time I go to Disney, I'm stealing some Spaceship Earth smell! I'm not sure how.... But I have like 8 months to figure it out.

We didn't steal it. We were given it from an inside source. That's also how we ended up with a collection of different size sequins from the Mickey arm. We have a whole shelf dedicated to, lets say, not available, WDW collectibles.

There are a few smells that make me smile every time:
1. The smell of Rome burning in SSE
2. The rainforest scene in Living with the Land - the waterfall smell?
3. Barbecue in Animal Kingdom
4. The smell of cinnamon buns from the Magic Kingdom bakery
5. the hamburger/grill smell coming from Pecos Bills - right after getting hit with the smell of turkey leg.

Can't be beat.

i think alot of my favorites smells circulate around food
