Re: Countdown to ST2
I think the AP one is an long haul deal (if you recall, it's scheduled for longer hours of testing over a week) and then the 2nd one is more like the full slam testing.
Re: Countdown to ST2
MGM is having/had guest previews today. I don't remember if it was here or at another site that I read that people were hoping to get rid of the "sound stage" feel at the beginning of the inside. Well, that "sound stage" feel is gone!
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

What was the problem with the "sound stage" feel at the beginning?
Re: Countdown to ST2
There was a soft/quiet opening yesterday, as there were very few people in the park. Cast members were also able to ride it beforehand, and here is my review about it:

Pictures were not allowed during the preview, but i didn't hear anything about not being able to talk about it.

Neither. The owner of WDWmagic is/was at the World and got to ride and did a non-spoiler review of it.Amy wrote:Did you have insider information on the previews today or were you simply lucky?!MadEye wrote:MGM is having/had guest previews today. For me, nothing. It did kinda break the feel of a real space port. There are people out there that despised the "sound stage" feel.mindflipper wrote:What was the problem with the "sound stage" feel at the beginning?

Remember, movie-making was part of the original over-all theme of the MGM-Disney theme park. The idea was to make you feel like you were in Hollywood and being part of the movies.MadEye wrote:For me, nothing. It did kinda break the feel of a real space port. True but it seems they have gotten away from the "working studio/working sound stages" feel to the park.mindflipper wrote:Remember, movie-making was part of the original over-all theme of the MGM-Disney theme park. You can't really have it both ways though since they are sorta mutual-exclusive categories.
