I loved the original Rio Del Tiempo ride. Cool in the summer and never a line. If it wasn't for getting stuck once with the boat stopped in front of the crazy salesmen for about 15 minutes. I took that song and looped it for a whole cd for my father as a gag gift. Its still a laugh every now and then.

Horizons and World of Motion. They both seemed to to reflect what EPCOT was supposed to represent.

Too funny! We liked the original as well...that song is an earworm. We haven't been on the new version, but I'm sure it's different enough to make us miss the original.

I think you make a very valid point. Don't forget the Living Seas original attraction and the original Imagination.

Timekeeper! I forgot about that one

That was an awesome attraction. I still love Nine-Eyes when she is told to blend in with the chandelier ~ "I'm blending, I'm blending...I am
not blending in!!!!"

I prefer the original Visionarium version over at DLP...

DLP definitely has a much cooler pre-show area

Let's throw O Canada at EPCOT into this category. The new film has too much Martin Short in it.

Well, you are not missing much... the original is better.

I noticed that the music or soundtracks from my favorite retired rides make me happy, except for one - the Journey Into Imagination track. It makes me sad to listen to it, so I suppose that must be the one I miss the most, because it still makes me sad to think it's gone.

The change from the original to the institute was quite a difference. So I have to agree. They really changed the whole ride around rather than just making some updates. Some of the stuff from the Institute is not bad but it just doesn't compare to the original.

At least the JIYI 2.0 brought back figment and the song (albeit revamped) from the original JII ride.
