They probably won't change anything because a closed door is magically powerful. You can walk by many of them without ever trying to open them (good way to meet neighbors btw), a shocking number of doors all over the place are left unlocked and security doesn't watch them that close.
Sadly, this is soooooooooo true...

Yesterday, Disney offered a midnight ST2 preview on 5/20 for the lucky few who emailed them in time. I emailed but was too late. I think the guest list closed in minutes.
Only 14 more days until ST2!

I saw that too momeja. It made me wish we lived closer and that I found out about it earlier. I hope someone will report on all the fun, even if it's not one of our own!

I wish I got that e-mail because I don't live that far away I couldn't have gone!

It sounds like the special event they did for Tron (they did a special ElecTronica event), did they do it as first come first served or was it a raffle?

I'm sure the other boards will have full reports...

Don't worry. Information about it came out while I was at AMC Downtown Disney, so I didn't know about it until it was over. And you know how close I live. Meh, I'll settle for a Wednesday or Thursday after it opens.
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Yeah, I saw it on the Disney Parks Blog. But it was long over when I came across it. I'm hoping they'll do something for DL...or if the DPB doesn't, maybe D23 will...
EDIT: Ask and you shall receive...I just happened to go to the blog and I found out that there is indeed going to be a chance to ride ST2 early. It doesn't quite sound like the hoopla that WDW is doing (at least, not yet) but I'd go anyway. Here's the link for those who are close to DL.

I think I can wait patiently enough until the lines die down a bit...not a big star wars fan...

I like the attraction itself, but I think I am like you...I wouldn't stand in a queue that was hours long

Especially in the humid heat that central Florida gets for the summer....no, I can wait...

If we don't win a chance on the preview, we won't be able to go til August. Unfortunately, we would most likely be waiting in the line. This being that I am in the presence of a HUGE SW fan and both of us were quite fond of the original ST.
It will also depend on hubby's condition though. A 2+ hour wait will not fly with him, so we'll see.

If those preview/special events are like other Disney ones (at least here) there is still a pretty big line and I am guessing this is going to be a stress test for the ride to see if they need to fix stuff.

If they do stress testing, it won't be announced until the last second, and probably limited to AP members...
