I love listening because it reminds me of the great times I've had at WDW. I also find most of the music very relaxing and a great way to relax and go to sleep, I just set the timer on my Itouch app and fall to sleep.
Missing WDW,

I put the background or request stream on an hour timer nearly every night before I go to sleep. If I'm lucky it makes me dream about being at Disney world.

Actually, I've found out that a lot of the area tracks aren't composed by Disney. While I think the selections are usually good it kind of made me sad to found out that these weren't original works. I still like most of them though. Just a little FYI.

Oh, I have started to listen to the subsonic app every night on my Touch. And I have all of you to thank for that. :) I love it. I usually forget to request something before I got to bed, but that is okay, there is always good stuff to listen to.

when I had a normal 9 to 5 job, I had it in my cubicle every day. I kinda miss that, though I do like where I am working now, but it is hard to have a retail job, the hours are so wierd.

I find it helps me deal with the stress of daily life. The more Disney in my life, the better.

I have to agree that the music and other sound bytes bring back fond memories of the parks. For me knowing the great amounts of creativity forged by Disney over the years allows me, subconciously, to become more creative during my day.

Well ... I don't think I even have to mention the withdrawals I go through between trips because I'm in good company here at Subsonic ... but ... it relaxes me to listen to Disney parks audio. Especially tracks like Soarin's que music, carousel of progress and spaceship earth ... I don't know what it is ... it just feels great!

And I'm perfectly happy with that! I think it's great that Disney used non-original works...it makes it easier to find the music for a personal collection. Especially knowing how difficult it is for Disney to release things. Plus it has opened my eyes (and ears) to many artists I had never heard of before. I am still in the process of learning artists/song titles from various area tracks. I've learned a lot on this site though. Thank you everyone!
Don't get me wrong, I love the original music as well. I think the parks have a nice blend of original and various artists' works.

The one song that's really getting me though is the first song played on the 52 minute Innoventions loop. I have no clue about the name, artist or if it's an original work. I love that music!!!

I knew Disney didn't compose all of its own area music when I was in college. Another student on the dorm floor loaned me his "Fresh Aire" music and the next time I was in Tomorrowland I was hearing it LOL!

Reminds me of being there. And regular radio around me stinks, so this is a great alternative.

Drives my wife crazy though... i guess i may play it a little too much

The problem with living in the south is that there are a lot of country music stations. I wish that was just a stereotype, but unfortunately it is not. So I spend quality time with my iPod.
