An Old Picture
My dad gave this and a few others to me a few years ago and now that the scanner has slightly worked I scanned them in. This was in '56, and that is not the Colombus (I spelled it wrong, opps) it is a pirate ship from Fantasyland. I just thought I'd share this peice of history with everyone.

I've gone full circle on my avatars.

More, more! That is so neat - with the new Fantasyland I still don't know much about the old one. Looks like more research is needed - I should dig more into that site. I'd never gone far into it and it certainly has some amazing info!

Looking at that stuff always makes me sad.
I'll never be able to experience those memories again from being a kid there. I'd love to ride Adventures Through Inner Space again. I bought the DVD from atommobiles.com to somewhat experience it again.

I ordered the DVD recently, and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I can't wait to see it.subsonic wrote:Looking at that stuff always makes me sad.I'll never be able to experience those memories again from being a kid there. I feel guilty as I was one of the many "slashdotters" that ran up atommobiles.com bandwidth bill into the thousands of dollars. I bought the soundtrack CD he was selling back then to "help" with that.
ATIS is probably my favorite "Yesterland" attraction.
Just to clarify, seeing these makes me sad in a happy way. I love seeing pictures like this. I have some as well somewhere, or my mom does. I should scan them too!
