Re: MmeLeota and Chernabog40's July Anaheim Adventure
Sorry, everybody!!!! It's been crazy and I have been a bit under the weather...
Day 4 – Sunday July 11, 2010
This morning was incredibly early! It was the morning of the Charity Walk/Run to support cancer research. Jillian Michaels was there to kick off the festivities, along with a few other celebrities/past baseball players. We participated in the 1 mile fun run/walk (no 5K for us). Once we saw how many people were there (10,000 participants overall between both races) and we saw the course, we knew we weren’t going to keep track of time. After all, how often does a fan get to walk the warning track of their home field? Yep! That’s right! The course was through the stadium and around the warning track! We were so excited and everyone stopped to take pictures….it took about 45 minutes to walk a mile, that’s how bad the backup was.
Afterward, we went back to the room to freshen up, and then returned to the stadium for the All Star Sunday games…the MLB Futures game and the Celebrity and Legends game double-header. Beforehand, there was a mini-fanfest in the parking lot. The Budweiser Clydesdales were out and posing for pictures (I can watch them all day…such beautiful animals!!!), wii baseball games set up to play (among other interactive exhibits) and of course a store to spend money. Oh yeah, and free tacos and samples of Pepsi!
The MLB Futures game took some of the top prospects in baseball and put them into 2 teams. The USA vs. The World. USA won thanks to Hank Conger!!! (Angels prospect, thank you very much…lol)
Here is a link to the story from the MLB website: http://www.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd ... &fext=.jsp
As far as the Celebrity and Legends game goes, what a hoot!!! There were some great participants: Bo Jackson, Jennie Finch, M.C. Hammer, Michael Clarke Duncan, Tim Salmon, Mike Piazza and Guy Fieri to name a few…here is the link to the story on MLB: http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/news/a ... p&c_id=mlb
It was a ton of fun, and though we were sitting in the upper deck, just being there was amazing! Someday we’d like to actually attend the All-Star Game, but it will have to wait.

Wow, sounds like a sweet time was had by all! I wish I could have been there. Thanks for updating us, and I'm sorry you've been feeling bad. Hope it all gets better.
Keep the reports coming *cough, cough* still waiting for pictures *cough, cough* and stay well!

Yay for day 4! That is pretty cool that you were able to walk through the stadium. I love the Clydesdale Horses too ~ draft horses are so pretty
I hope you are feeling better soon...it is no fun being sick

Re: MmeLeota and Chernabog40's July Anaheim Adventure
I know I never posted any pictures and I apologize for that. Aside from the Mystical Missing Memory Card that has the rest of our pics on it, I lost my project. I know, sounds like a schoolgirl excuse
but the site where I was working on my project no longer exists and I lost my project. Below is what I was able to recover. This was intended to be a digital scrapbook but I didn't get to finish it. I will post the individual pages that I have though. These are not categorized by particular day or anything. I was making a mash-up of the entire trip. And I must add that Chernabog40 actually did work on this project too, although he is not on the computer as often as I. But I must give him credit too.
Again, sorry it's not complete, but it will definitely add to the trip report....even if it is 9 months late

I have some more, but I'll have to post them later....this ought to get ya started

Do you actually print those pages out and put them in a scrapbook, or does it all get printed elsewhere, bound in a book, and then mailed to you?

Re: MmeLeota and Chernabog40's July Anaheim Adventure
Either way, but there's usually a charge involved...
Or if you'd like you can create the whole book and only share the link with certain people for no charge. I haven't tried the new site yet, but I know they don't have the same content...like the D23 stuff for example. But who knows? Maybe that will change in the future.
We wanted to purchase a book for this one, but we'll have to get creative instead. Oh well.

Yeah, you should hurry. People get anxious when you leave your trip report unattended for awhileMmeLeota wrote:Thanks. I'm glad that I was able to salvage some of it too. I have some more to add...I'll try to get them posted later tonight.

Here we go again...

Well, that's all I was able to recover. Sorry that some of the pages weren't finished, but it's what I've got for now. If I can find some of the other pictures we took (especially of baseball players for all you fans out there) I'll post them too.

Ah...your beloved Monte Cristo! Those pomme frites look tasty ~ do they have parmesan on them?
The lobby of the theater looks cool. Is that a static display or do the colors and scenes change like in the Animation lobby at DCA and DHS?

Yeah, my mouth was watering when I looked at the pic. That was the one I took with my camera, but the one that Cbog40 took showed the inside of the sandwich...that would have been worse!!! (and yes, those pics are on the Mystical Missing CardAmy wrote:Ah...your beloved Monte Cristo! Those pomme frites look tasty ~ do they have parmesan on them?

There is parmesan cheese, garlic and parsley on the pomme frites, and they are fantastic!!!!
As far as the lobby of the theatre goes, unfortunately I don't know. We were only in there one other time (as it's on the actual Disney lot) and we couldn't have cameras so I didn't take pictures and I can't remember off hand if the lighting was different. (I believe the scene is actually a glass etching) But the whole area is Fantasia themed, since it is the theatre where Walt first screened the movie. If we ever get to go again, I'll try to remember to look.
