History Channel did a special 2 hour Modern Marvels on Walt Disney World.

We TIVO'ed it and I have to say it was very interesting. It starts out with the history and making of WDW. A major thing I didn't know was that MK is 14 feet above land level. There's tunnels at ground level that run under MK.

The show featured infomation about each park and picked specific attractions to do into detail about. Very cool episode.

I watched this show Christmas night. It was very informitave indeed. I loved all the behind the scenes looks at things. I still think its amazing just how much land is part of the property and how Walt managed to buy it all.

It was good but they forgot to mention a few things, that some of the rides that they were covering were from the other parks, and the Dinosaur cars came from the Indy ride in DLR. It made it seem like that the rides were created just for WDW.

I took control of the tv when I saw it was on. Expedition Everest is looking better and better. I thought the yeti would be like the one on the Matterhorn, but I guess he's not

I believe this is on again sometime mid-January. I don't remember the date right off but if you're interested go to the history channel website and search for it. We canceled our Dish Network earlier in the year due to all the junk on it and, for the most part, haven't missed it. However, some sports events and shows like this make we wish we could have it for one day from time to time.

I'll have to get my boss to record it

I finally found someone with cable and a VCR that would record this one for me. It was fantastic! What a fun show. I love seeing all the behind the scenes type stuff. I do wish they'd show some things from Fantasyland like Peter Pan though. Ah well, maybe another show. For now, this just makes me more excited for my upcoming trip to Disney World. Sometimes it's easy to forget all the engineering that went into the parks because it all seemed to appear like magic!

I watched it again a few days ago (I had taped it) and my younger cousin sat down during a portion of it. when the narrator says something about how Disney World wasn't built with a wave of a wand, my cousin goes "yes it was, it was just a really big wand" I thought that was really cute and funny.

. I made him leave or the rest because I didn't want to prove him wrong and ruin it.

I watched the show the other night (after recording it) and thought it was great. I just love seeing the "behind-the-scenes" type things. I know that the Travel Channel sometimes has Disney-themed shows. Does anyone know where to get a hold of them? I don't think you can order them off the Travel Channel web site.

I found this special to be quite interesting. It was however similiar to the previous WDW specials, but I did learn a few new neat things about WDW.

I really liked the show. I learned about a lot of stuff that I have never even knew existed. Like that Magic Kingdon was built on top of the Utilidors, and they werent put underground....WOW
