Lines are the same as usual. Not that many "adults" ride to see over the wall.

annafab wrote:For anyone who's been to Magic Kingdom lately: how has the construction affected your visit?
Not that much, if at all.
annafab wrote:Does the construction block off a big portion of MK?
No. It's basically the same as it was when they closed 20K. Same space between Mr. Toad/Winnie the Pooh and the 20K queue/construction wall.
annafab wrote:Is it making foot traffic terrible?
Not any more than it already was. Only lesser foot traffic behind Dumbo.
annafab wrote:Does it make you spend less time there as opposed to other parks?
Nope.
annafab wrote:I'm mostly just curious since I can't visualize what the construction layout must be right now.
Old aerial photos but it shows the construction with the current Fantasyland:

I probably should have done the same. I figured my quote/unquote on the word adult would help...

It is surprising how much bigger that area looks when seen in the aerial photo. It doesn't seem that big when you are actually there...

It does look larger than I thought, but they're sooooo old. I can see people walking about in MTF.

Best I could find when I posted that.
Is this better:

What is that directly to the right of Dumbo? It almost looks like water? Is it blacktop?

I think it is part of the base layer of a foundation being poured.
It does look like two tents from MTF are being recycled into the circus tents for the new Dumbo circus area.

While taking a study break I was looking over the Mine Train coaster concept art. It looks like a really interesting attraction.
The two tents were never supposed to be knocked down during the reconstruction. The barnstormer and tents were really the big things Disney kept from MTTF. It does make sense for the circus theme to have tents. Kind of sad to see how everything else from Toontown is already long gone. It also seems like the construstion workers paved a new pathway for vehicles next to the two tents when you check out the latest aerial photos.

It was the foundation that Scuttles Landing (counter service area I think) and Ariel's Grotto were located. They never demo'd the foundation.

Okay, so I *WASN'T* crazy when I thought that was the Toontown tent, the red and white one, except that it was in the wrong darm place!

Actually, since they revised the Fantasyland Expansion, I have never seen a set or revised blueprints so I have no idea of what is the wrong or right places.

From what I have judged based off of previous aerial views is that the tents HAVE NOT moved. They are still just off of Center Dr. Center Dr. is the little alley between the new Mermaid building and the tents. What is causing all of this confusion on the tent location is the new paved pathway just in front of the tents. If you look at the aerial shots from the link I posted above the old walkway for toontown is the one further to the right. I have a feeling that this will soon (if not already) be getting torn up as they make way for the dueling dumbos.

They can't move. If they were to be moved, they would have to be demolished to get rid of the foundations to make way for whatever would take the spot. Those are stationary buildings just with tent facades.
