Mini Trip 4/5/11
Going to Orlando for work and will have the evening of April 5. Looks like MK is open until 10. Perfect. Will hopefully take some more night pics.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Have a great time! Hopefully the spring break crowds will be gone by then!

The one good thing about going somewhat often is that I can walk around and enjoy the sights even if the lines are too long. Still, hoping it is nice and the weather is clear.mindflipper wrote:Have a great time! Hopefully the spring break crowds will be gone by then!

Fun! I wish my work would send me to Orlando, but I know there's no chance of that.

Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

But think how happy your kindergarteners would be!! I don't know that you could pay me enough to have to keep track of that many little kids at WDW thoughPolynesian Princess wrote:Fun! I wish my work would send me to Orlando, but I know there's no chance of that.

Well their parents would surely supervise and there's only 6 of them, so it'd be tolerable. Then again if they had a day like today...Amy wrote:But think how happy your kindergarteners would be!! I live and work in Florida, and even "Orlando" is on the "not permitted" travel list...Polynesian Princess wrote:Fun! I wish my work would send me to Orlando, but I know there's no chance of that.

Ever tried getting pictures of the Electric Water Pagent? That could make for some cute shots!horizons1 wrote:Going to Orlando for work and will have the evening of April 5. Looks like MK is open until 10. Perfect. Will hopefully take some more night pics.

I never seem to find myself in the right spot for that with my camera. That is a good idea though, fancy.fancyfeet wrote:Ever tried getting pictures of the Electric Water Pagent? That could make for some cute shots!

Anything outside the continental US (that include Hawaii), Anahiem, Las Vegas, etc. - y'know, anywhere that's basically fun...Polynesian Princess wrote:Where else is on that list, mindflipper? I assume Hawaii?

Re: Mini Trip 4/5/11
Ended up going the following week, April 12. Here are some pics

The parks were busy but not really crowded. Walked on pretty much everything, including zero wait on Space Mountain during the E Parade.
Oh, and this was strange: I had the BBQ Rib Plate at Cosmic Ray's and they gave me three slabs of ribs. I thought the guy was just being generous but then I found the ribs were kind of tough, not fall-off-the-bone delicious. Maybe they knew this, seeing as it was later in the evening, and were trying to "unload" the old ribs on unsuspecting guests.
The second night (only went at night because I was in Orlando for work) I booked a 7:30 dinner reservation at the new La Hacienda de San Angel. I had heard mixed reviews about this, but I have to say, the food was not bad. Very consistent with the food in the other two Mexico pavilion restaurants. In fact, the spinach salad was FANTASTIC!
