Not us, but I don't know about them.

Who told you about them? As long as you aren't talking about Him, he gets very mad when you try to take his Elizabeth away.

Which part? Or all of it? Do you wish they would dump it and replace with a totally different ride?

I wonder how they would do it...if it were redone...because MGM is no longer part of the equation.

The Great Movie Ride has no connection really to the deal with MGM. Disney's deal with MGM was over the use of their name. MGM some time ago to stave off bankruptcy sold their entire film library (and all rights connected with those films) to Ted Turner, who used the films for TNT and TCM. Ted Turner sold out to Warner Brothers who then merged and became Time Warner. Anyhow, they have the rights to the films used in the Great Movie Ride, not MGM. They could negotiate to have the contract renewed without MGM having any say whatsoever.

I always thought Ted Turner just rolled arround naked in the unwound reels of the films he owned.
I wonder if one reason (aside from the cost) that they don't do anything to the great movie ride is because most recent releases haven't made it to the "Classic" status yet? Of the ones that are, probably not the most fun to "ride through".
I was curious, were they expecting to do more with some of the scenes from the great movie ride? If I recall, the Wizard of Oz scene has a really wide area, right? Did they originally plan for more actors?

Only scenes they didn't do what what was planned after construction were Fantasia (It was supposed to be the twister part from OZ. If you are ever evacuated through the Fantasia scene without a vehicle in the scene, look down on the ride path and you'll see yellow paint depicting the yellow brick road.) and Finale (stages on both sides with doubles of the animatronics you see in the ride and the Gangster [to the right of the ride vehicle they took over]/Bandit [to the left of the vehicle they took over] taking a bow).
