Has anybody taken a Disney Cruise? I just returned from a seven night cruise and it was wonderful.

Looking forward to my next sailing

I've been on it and am a Disney TA, so get to help plan other's cruises. I'm addicted to them. Isn't the ship gorgeous for the holidays? Which one did you go on? When are you going next? I'm really hoping they do a Mediterranean itinerary (which is a rumor.) I would love to do that!

I was on the Magic and we did the Western Caribbean itinerary. The holiday decorations on board were incredible! We cruised Dec 3-10 and couldn't have had better weather. From start to finish it was just a fantastic time. I've done a three and four night cruise before and we had rooms on the East to West repositioning cruise but schedules conflicted and we had to give them up.
I don't know exactly when my next cruise will be, hopefully not too long. It would be nice to start a personal "cruise of the month club" but that won't happen for a while.

The Mediterranean rumor sounds very cool indeed. You'll have to let me know if it becomes a reality. Maybe you could help me plan it! :D :D :D

What's a TA and do you work in Celebration?

I soooooo wish I was on one of those re-positioning cruises. That would have been heavenly. One of my Guests was on one of them and he joked that even that was too short of a cruise. I like your 'Cruise of the Month Club' idea!! LOLOL! I hope you get to book soon - they are so much fun to look forward to. I try to post when new stuff has been announced in the vacation department - they just posted their 2007 Wonder cruises, but sounds like you might have to go into rehab if you wait that long...

Woops, TA is a travel agent. I wish I worked in Celebration. Heck, I just wish I lived in Celebration, how Stepford is that??? hehehee! I don't work directly at Disney, but work for Small World Vacations. I'm up in the frozen tundra of NH, where it seems to get colder each year that I age...

WOW! New Hampshire, bet it's really cold up there right now. And there's nothing "Stepford" about wanting to live in Celebration. I was there on the original founder's day and actually won a lottery to purchase but at that time the home prices seemed so expensive. Little did I know that the same house would be worth 3 times the original purchase price :? Shoulda, coulda , woulda! Live and learn I guess.

No, now I'm content to spend my pennies on the cruise ships, and in the spa! Ive become guite the spa junkie on my 3 cruises.

Funnny thing, I just found my confirmation for the repo cruise. I was wrong, we were booked on the West to East sailing this past August.

While on board, one of our waiters mentioned there may be an eleven night cruise in '06. Care to shed any light on this one?

Stay warm! :D

Th-th-th-there are two longer cruises in September oh-si-si-si-six (frostbite getting to me! just kidding - it's not bad today) Sailing 9/7 is a 10-night cruise visiting St.Thomas/St. John, St. Lucia, Barbados, Antiqua, and Castaway Cay. Sailing 9/17 is an 11-nighter visiting the same ports, but adding St. Kitts. Both are on the Wonder, which is a little bit different, as most of the longer cruises are on the Magic.

I'm trying to get DH to consider buying land in the area. It's amazing how quickly it's getting snapped up. We were watching a special the other night and it mentioned how cheaply Walt had bought acreage down in the area, and it just amazes me!

If you're talking about buying land in FL, it seems you can't go wrong there. Property values have gone crazy over the past few years and although they have slowed a little lately, things don't seem to be cooling off completely. Honestly, the builders can't build houses fast enough. Now developers are snapping up apartment complexes and converting them into condos just to meet demand. It's nutty I tell ya! DH can rest assured! :D

The longer cruises sound like fun. Lots of new ports, well new for Disney anyway. Maybe my cruise of the month club will be in full swing by then and I cann get on one of them.

Are you a personal travel agent or do you only do corporate? I've been looking for a good travel agent for a while now. The woman who used to work with me left the business after getting her masters and moving on to another profession. Please let me know if you ae accepting new clients!

Happy New Year!

What is the cruise like? I took a cruise to Mexico when I was young. I always saw the cruise commercials on TV and wanted to take one but I never had the chance. Now that I no longer live with my parents I dont seem to have the time to take off to go on one. I go to DL about twice a month but a cruise would be awsome!!!
Adventure is out there!
Ready for our WDW honeymoon, Aug 2015!

Rocket,

I'm sorry, I've been incredibly busy with the change in ticket prices and everyone wanting to go. Yes, I'm always up for working with someone new, but I only do Disney. Tough job, huh?

Silent, the cruise to me is nirvana. It's a different level of pampering, not often seen in the US. The service is excellent. The cabins are a bit larger than most in the industry, with the large percentage of them being oceanview, which is nice. I love the international flair - around every corner is a different accent, a different way to meet people, a hug from Nepal, or Botswana, or Chile. I think because of that, my family became very aware of how small our world really is. To add the magical touches that they are famous for, and to cruise Disney becomes a very surreal experience.

And their private island... Castaway Cay... don't get me started!!!

No, go ahead and start. Some of us will never go, and live vicariously through others. :)
