You're not a meanie! I cracked up laughing too! I just also feel sorry for the parents who had that child. To an adult, it would be like "big deal" but to a child it would be like losing a life-time dear friend.jlpeaches255 wrote:Yes yes you are right...sorry for being a meanie. That's one thing I don't like about the blinky characters. They look creepy when they're closed and most of the pictures I've seen with them have at least one characters eyes closed in them.Amy wrote:Snapped a few photos of the stage show as we went by, Minnie must be one of the higher tech, blinky models too
Which view of the mansion do you like better...this one? Or...this one...
I think I prefer the first, but they're both nice!
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

Amy and F1gment's Day 9 continued
Mom wanted to ride the railroad so we started to make our way back to the Main Street station...

I'm sure he was just resting, but using Roy as an arm rest just struck me as wrong

The parade was just about to start so we decided to watch before going on the railroad...

How old is this float now? They have been using this float for a looooong time now haven't they?

Re: Dec 2010: Mayhem Invades Disney World!!!
We had to wait through 3 trains until we could board the wheelchair accessible section so I had lots of time to take some photos...

Our next adventure was finding dichuy's brick. With the excellent locating information she had given me, along with a photo of her Mom standing on the brick, it wasn't too hard to find. Although I had to dodge the incoming guests that were now arriving for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
Looking pretty good for being in such a high traffic area dichuy

Then we were off to find my brick
I knew mine was way, way, way out on the walkway to the Grand Floridian...

Of course I am fairly easily distracted so I needed to take pictures along the way...

See the bench at the end of the walkway back there, plus the sprinklers? I'm pretty sure that meant I wasn't supposed to venture down the path to find my brick, but I knew I was in no danger of melting, and I was on a mission!

About 1/2 mile later, I found it! The weather has taken it's toll over the last 14 years...

One more photo...and then we were off to EPCOT

I know we talked about this in a separate thread, but you have a great photo of the dock once used for the old now extinct Swan Boat attraction that used to encircle the castle/Main Street hub!Amy wrote:Amy and F1gment's Day 9 continued

Thanks ~ I wondered if this was the dock after you mentioned the swan boats...mindflipper wrote:I know we talked about this in a separate thread, but you have a great photo of the dock once used for the old now extinct Swan Boat attraction that used to encircle the castle/Main Street hub!

Not bad shape considering it's over 10 years old and during all that time has been walked upon, rained upon, and exposed to hot summer sunlight!Amy wrote:
And as for the silver and blue mirror-paneled float - I think if I remember correctly that was part of the 10th anniversary parade celebrations, so you're right - it has been used alot over and over through the ages. Some of the other floats have been too, such as the riverboat float. I can't remember what parade that one was created for (maybe the bicentennial "America on Parade" back in 1976?) but it too has been used over and over ever since...

Wow it's been a while but is nice to see some more pictures from Amy's trip. Definitely sad and depressing to see the Mermaid like that. I really hope they helped out whoever's stuffed animal that was. It would bring the Disney magic to life for that (most likely) little girl. I have to agree with Mindflipper on the bricks. Considering the age and locations, they are in very good shape.
I always think the same thing with the mirror and blue float. I can place it back in every parade I have seen at the MK dating back to the 25th celebration. It would be nice to see MK get a brand new parade similar to DLRs.
As for the Macs, Amy must have some secret powers. My mac is 18 months old and has NEVER (knock wood) had a problem.

But you can't say the same about iphones, can you?Len90 wrote:As for the Macs, Amy must have some secret powers. My mac is 18 months old and has NEVER (knock wood) had a problem.

It could be you both are using your Macs differently. Maybe Len90 doesn't use his as heavily as Amy? Maybe you need to compare apps and what you're using it for to see how you use it differently? Maybe give you an idea of areas to target as possible problems/solutions.

Seriously doubt amount of usage. Mine is used VERY heavily. I've done more on this Mac than I have on any other computer. As for the iPhones, the iPhone 4 has not been an issue. I think my originally may have had something to do with a drop it had sustained a week prior to all the issues. If it was the iPhone 3G, I would definitely be talking differently.mindflipper wrote:But you can't say the same about iphones, can you?Len90 wrote:As for the Macs, Amy must have some secret powers.
