Why do they still stop there? Because they want to keep the old schedule/the old time the trains need for a complete round?
Is there any explanation given at the stop, why the trains stop there without any guests being allowed off?

The CM in the video said they had to stop to get water?

Alright, the water tower for the steam trains are actually at the MTTF stop and the trains need to be topped off with water from time to time - but as I recall only every three or four circuits around the park. I guess the reason will be scheduling then, to keep the two or three trains in operation synchronous...

Unless you are blind, then you can clearly see you won't be walking through the barrier just outside the "station" at MTTF.

I think that is where they stop to blow off the extra steam too...I don't know if they have any other locations that have that blow-off tunnel-y thing.

Update (kinda): According to a source I am familiar with, first thing to open with the FLE will be the Circus area sometime in Summer 2012. Times are subject to change.

Isn't that where the train stop is located? I would think it would make sense to get that opened ASAP.

The former MTTF/soon to be Dumbo Circus area.

That would make sense. What else is supposed to be located there besides the dueling Dumbo's?

A Casey Junior themed counter service food area, merchandise, meet and greets, I think Great Goofini and the train station from what I understand.

Makes sense they would open Dumbo's Circus (ahh the memories of classic Disney Channel) first since it has the train station, Goofy's roller coaster, and is on the edge of the whole area. It looks like it would have the shortest time line of all of the expansion plans.

I wonder if they'll import the Casey Jr. ride from DL for it?

It's not a ride but some kind of food service area themed to it, according to MadEye.

I'm sure it will be such a pleasure trying to get food right next to Dumbo's Circus with all the lovely young humans running around

Interesting to hear this. I kind of figured the dumbos would be one of the earlier things to open. Disney doesn't want to have Dumbo out for an extended period of time. Next summer could very well be very interesting if this verifies.
