Is that why they had those barricades out there this past week as shown in the MiceChat update photos?

The thing is on wheels, so I don't think any construction was required, but if they had to put down a power outlet then it would justify it, but I think the outlets were there in the first place.
With the winds we've been having I was hoping to see it fall over.

If I can ever locate the photo again I will

Does anyone else notice the strong resemblance from the shells on the top of the Swan/Dolphin to the new shells on the outside of the upcoming Little Mermaid attraction?
Here is MadEye's photo...I can't the one from MiceChat into my photobucket account at the moment ~ darn laptop

Unless I'm missing something, that is not a photo of mine...

Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Are you thinking of the barricades they had on Main Street during it's repaving?

The photo in fact belongs to yodiwan1 and it's from his current trip report:

Sorry MadEye ~ yes, I meant to give yodiwan1 credit...

Anyhow, the shell decorations on the Swan building seem very similar to the new shell decorations being placed on the Little Mermaid attraction.

Except the one on top of that resort is humongous, 2-3 stories tall!

I wonder if the design for the ride cars is just the same as the "living seas with nemo"?

The concept art shows a clam shell like the HM's doombuggy where the front lowers; the living seas cars are similar to their old cars where the 2 part door in front slides to the left and the right. But many things can change between concept ride and actual production, so who knows?

From what I know, they are most likely the way HM's doombuggies are just like what mindflipper said. I haven't seen anything else posted yet but I will keep an eye out.

I think they put the cars on display about a year ago. If you go in there should still be a maquette of the car. It's like a cross between the Haunted Mansion and Nemo (shell shape but the bars fold inward. I think it's actually pictured in a previous update.

From what I've seen online and the models in Walt Disney: One Man's Dream here at WDW, it looks like you'll enter the vehicles from the left like the Haunted Mansion Doombuggies but the model from Blue Sky Cellar at DCA doesn't show the ride vehicles as "closed" (unless I'm just not seeing it that way) and I can't tell if there are safety bars like the Doombuggies.

Sounds good - but I don't really envy the folks who are there these days, with Critter Country closed down...a trip to Disney without Splash Mountain is kinda hard...

Not that weather really puts people off riding that much, but this weekend was nice and warm again (in the 80's) so there would have been huge lines for Splash I bet.
