I put my arms all the way up on every other thrill ride. I remember watching a video clip on the old Disney World Explorer computer program and it talked about how they place the objects to look close, but make sure that even the tallest dare devils have enough room to raise their hands. But it's funny because your reflex is to pull back anyways. I think it's funny when I pull back from the Yeti.
I am almost 100% certain you are correct that Disney makes sure there is enough clearance so people that have to wave their hands in the air like they just don't care won't lose any appendages

It's all just in the mind - you know Disney has had that checked and re-checked long ago. They wouldn't take that kind of chance.

everyone should experience riding up front on Space Mountain...it is exhilarating

only downside is that you will end up with a dryer mouth and watery eyes...because you really catch the wind...but it is totally worth it

If you can...try riding Everest in the very front, very back, and middle if you can ride it that many times. Totally different experiences and each one has its own perks. When you are up front you have nothing in your way...so the Yeti animation is right in front of you...but like any other gravity coaster you get the shaft on going up and over hills because you don't go fast until the back car goes up and over. The middle is your general roller coaster feel and again a different perspective. The back is awesome because once you are up and over hills...you are flying downhill. So there is never a dull moment in the back...but you end up being very far away from the Yeti animation. Again...different perspective of the ride.

As for RnR...up front is always the best...very similar to Space Mountain in terms of the wind in your face.

Hmmmmmm, I'm guessing here, theBIGyowski, but something tells me you like riding rollercoasters...or is that my imagination?

I think the wind is a lot more intense on RnRC. The first time I rode in the front it took me by surprise. It dried out my contacts. It is a cool experience that everyone should try. :)
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

I ITA. However, I think that the front of Everest is completely better than the back. First, you get the amazing view of WDW when you arrive at the top of the mtn. Then, you get the whip as you reverse and become the tail of the train. I adore Everest!

Actually...I grew up hating roller coasters...until I rode RnR when it was brand new. After that I was hooked. It was so bad...that on the flight home I was secretly hoping we would hit turbulence so I could get that thrill again!

Trust me, you don't want turbulence when flying, dude! There are no safety features up in the sky to keep the plane safe as there are in roller coasters LOL!

We were on a 777 too...so we really didn't get any turbulence at all.

As the wise Hurley may say, "Get LOST, dude."

Back to topic....

I haven't riden EE at AK yet, but there does seem to be a few people who agree that the seating is uncomfortable. Can't wait to check it out one day...

It's not too bad...but it's a harness-style coaster without the soft seats. So it definitely could be more comfy.

I didn't notice the seats on EE as being all that uncomfortable...
