Me, too.

I really think we have enough princesses with all the different storybook areas, which is why I was confused by the meet n greet.
Yup, I think the princesses will stay as long as they are making money for PhotoPass ~ and what family wouldn't want to have their little princess' photo taken with a Disney princess?!

Well saying goodbye to MTTF is done. Got some pictures of Mickey's house but BTGs and kids were all over Minnie's house so taking pics was hard but got a few. Trip report with pics will be up sometime in the next two days.

Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Hmm, Minnie must be more popular since that house was swarming with teens when I was there too

I think it was just foreign families wanting to get pictures of everything with their kids all over the place. Taking pictures with someone else's kids in the shot seems creepy to me so.... Still got some good shots w/out any kids/teens though.

I feel the same way, but if you can't get them out of way long enough to take the shot, then sometimes you have no choice if you want to take a photo. Then people ask later when looking at the photos, "Oh, who are they?" because they think you took the photo of people you were with...

Couple of things...
Do we really think that they need to shut down Dumbo at all? And if they do won't it be the last thing that they do? Think about it. They could build the new one in Circus Land (or whatever they are going to call it) and set the foundation for the old Dumbo to move over the existing one. They could probably move it over night or only have it down for a couple of days, right? In the meantime the new Dumbo will be operational while the current one is being set in place. I don't really think that they want to shut down an iconic ride such as DUMBO. Thoughts???
Also, since it looks like they are going with Circus Land, how much of MTTF do they have to remove? Mickey/Minnie's houses will come down or be re-themed. Pete's Garage will likely be a re-themed bathroom. I assume they will keep the tents up since they can save a buck and use those again in the "new land". Barnstormer is staying pretty much. I think I heard that Donald's boat is coming down and a Casey Jr play land will be in it's place. It sounds like MTTF is just going over a major cosmetic overhaul, not really going away. Anyone else think that they will have the Great Goofini back in operation by Summer this year? It doesn't seem like it would need to be down for that long.

ITA. I think by moving the area, they'll be able to get the new Dumbo up and running before they close down the old one. Then the amount of time will be shortened to the time it takes to move the old one to the new location.

If Dumbo is moving over to where MTTF was, and there's going to be two of them with a circus tent area too - where do you think they're going to put it if they don't tear down the old MTTF? I don't think MTTF was ever meant to be permanent; it just became that way.

That's exactly what I've thought they would do the whole time. It makes the most sense, imo.
Can't wait to take my twin boys on their first trip to Walt Disney World! Planning on heading there sometime Feb-May 2014!

If they tear down Mickey/Minnie's houses and tear down some of the store, they should have plenty of room to keep the Judges' tent and two Dumbo's.

Isn't the idea of the expansion to create a whole new area? I think they kept the Barnstormer because they needed another ride and it could be easily re-themed, so that saved some $$$. But the other stuff around there - is it really needed? Or could they do something with the theme?

mindflipper - Oh, I have NO PROBLEM if they level the whole MTTF area and create a new land. I was just giving an opinion on what I think they are thinking. I guarantee they will salvage as much of MTTF as they can to save money on this expansion, especially since they are now adding a state-of-the-art ride in the Snow White Mine Train. I would personally flatten MTTF and the Race Track, bring in Circus Land (although I don't like clowns) and build another Cars Land like the one DCA is getting.

If Cars Land was going anywhere, I bet they would be trying to figure out a way to dump that into DHS. There isn't much of anything PIXAR really at WDW MK (there's Buzz and Monters, Inc. Laugh Floor (MILF) but I expect and hope some day MILF gets replaced with something enjoyable and fun instead), but there's alot of it over at DHS, so it would seem to me that would be better fit (if they actually had space to expand over there without taking out the parking lot).

Update: The Walt Disney World Railroad has an updated spiel mentioning the Fantasyland Expansion. MTTF stop is closed. The trains still stop there but no guests are allowed off. And that little walkway between Tomorrowland (near the exit of Space Mountain) and MTTF is closed.
