Thanks for the latest update, Amy! I love the photo of Toon Town and was amazed how much it is like the DLR Toon Town! I know there are people who like MTTF at WDW MK, but if you ever see the Toon Towns at DLR and TDL you can't help but feel cheated!

I agree ~ there is so much more to look at and explore in DL and TDL' Toontowns. Plus, they have Roger Rabbitmindflipper wrote:Thanks for the latest update, Amy! Continuing on to Tomorrowland ~ checking out the laptop along the way, so far the backlit keyboard isn't working
Star Jets at night...

Star Tours...a lot like DL if I remember correctly....

This was a cool fountain...

MicroAdventure ~ if you look closely you can see the Imagination Institute signage ~ yup, it's Honey I Shrunk the Audience, direct from the States...

Space Mountain...

Grand Circuit Raceway...the Japanese CM's attention to this attraction was in sharp contrast to the laid back nature of DL and WDW's CM's...

And the computer just crashed ~ guess the motherboard wasn't the problem Apple

Thanks for the great update, Amy! Also, sorry the Apple is misbehaving.
Bad Apple! Bad Apple! Don't you wish that just swatting it on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper could do the job? Then again, it may be better than anything those Apple Geniuses have done so far...

Re: Tokyo Disneyland ~ a photo journey
I saw you mentioned the Honey I shrunk the Audience sign from Epcot...I just took the UnDiscovered Futureworld Tour a month ago and the sign is still there. It is located kinda near where they store the Illuminations globe during the day. I would post a pic but we were not aloud to take back there.
But I am truly enjoying this thread. I ahve always wanted to visit every Disney Theme park and I am salivating at these pics!

Sorry, my comment might have been a little misleading ~ I meant to say the attraction, though called MicroAdventure, is really just Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and is the same attraction as DL and WDW. I didn't mean that the sign actually came from either of those parks...yodiwan1 wrote:I saw you mentioned the Honey I shrunk the Audience sign from Epcot...I just took the UnDiscovered Futureworld Tour a month ago and the sign is still there. Thanks for the explanation! I don't know why, but I thought maybe they moved ATIS from DLR and renamed it MicroAdventure. I understand now; I think the films were also drastically retitled in translation as well when they in the theaters over in Japan.Amy wrote:Sorry, my comment might have been a little misleading ~ I meant to say the attraction, though called MicroAdventure, is really just Honey I Shrunk the Audience, and is the same attraction as DL and WDW. That's what I thought when I first saw the title of the attraction too ~ but when I saw the Imagination Institute signage I knew it was HISTAmindflipper wrote:Thanks for the explanation! Re: Tokyo Disneyland ~ a photo journey
The monorail was all decked out celebrating the 20th anniversary...

It was much earlier than the the parks' opening so there wasn't a lot of traffic yet...

Some more views from on board the monorail...it was so early I rode around a few times

Here are some views from the monorail of Tokyo Disney Sea ~ Their Columbia was a theater, not a moving attraction, but I never got to see the show while I was there
The show times never matched up with when I was nearby...

Neighboring hotels...

Real body of water, not a Disney body of water

Re: Tokyo Disneyland ~ a photo journey
All righty then...here are a few photos of the World Bazaar, which is the equivalent of the Main Streets in the US...
Daytime

Nighttime

Sorry, I guess I don't have a lot of this area. It was mostly shops and I didn't really buy anything here except for some CD's. The other souvenirs I bought at the big store in the Ikspiari ~ pretty much Tokyo's version of Downtown Disney
