Here's a tip though - Disney will not usher any day Guests out of the park on EMH evenings in the shops or restaurants - you can shop and dine to your heart's content, just will not be able to ride the rides. You also will not be able to enter the park past park closing, and must either be at that park during the day or have the Park Hopper feature on your tickets in order to access the park if you're someplace else that day. You can still soak up the atmosphere of the EMH, just won't be able to ride the rides.
That's true and they do stop checking for bands after the first hour or so I'd say (especially easier during winter when everyone has their bands covered by their sweaters/jackets)

When I had early entry a couple months ago they just had it on your ticket. They have bands?

Early entry is done with your resort ID, but late entry uses a wrist band system, since most Guests are already in the park. You need to show your resort ID to receive a wrist band. :D

Matt, shhhhh... :)

It is for Walt Disney World. Disneyland has a different system for its resort Guests.

My family is looking to potentially go to Disneyland for the first weekend in December. We have to do a weekend because I'm still in school (but with no Friday class-hooray!). Would we be fighting the crowds excessively?

My family is going to Disneyland at Christmastime! We can't wait - just booked our stay today. Any advice, pictures, items we need to know to make our holiday magical would be greatly appreciated. :mickey3:

The Grand Californian! Oooh, I'm so excited! Don't they have a big Christmas tree in the lobby there?

I'd highly suggest the Dickens Carolers on Main Street around the holidays. They are some of the best carolers you can see anywhere, and it's great seeing them in that setting. I'm not sure if they're included in the showtime pamphlet when you enter, but ask around and make sure you catch them, it's quite a treat!

I'm not actually set as to the dates yet. We had it all figured out (based on my finals schedule) and then realized that the airfare is super high. Hope it comes down soon! Good thing the Grand Californian has plenty of space so we can alter our original dates.

Are you staying on or off property?

Thanks for the carolers tip, danimal! I think I have to start making a list of not-to-be-missed items.
