Spring Break @ WDW!

Post by hockeygirl » Jan Fri 21, 2011 3:36 am

Hey everyone! Dang, it's been crazy! I still need to do my post-trip report from the DL trip... I just have to figure out how to get my pics off my camera and onto the new Mac. Easier said than done... sigh.

Anyway, heading to WDW in March to visit Soarin! Yay! By then, I'll be needing a break. I'm going nuts with school. Just kinda stinks that I'll have to be standing in line with the rest of the Spring Break crowd, but at least I'll have someone to stare at hot British guys with, so I'm down with that.

Alright. I should head to bed. Have to get up early for school!

Yay! Glad you found your way back home ;) Actually depending on what camera you have, the downloading to the mac is pretty darn easy once you sit down and try it! It is the uploading to a site in order to be able to share them on here that takes the time :(
Wow ~ WDW during Spring Break, that will be some crowds for sure. As you say, you can always check out the scenery while you are there ;) Then you'll have two trip reports to write!!!

I have a Nikon, and for some reason the transfer software is being a total butt! It doesn't want to work!

Does it have a usb port? I just plugged in my camera (I have a Sony) and the mac recognized it as an external hard drive. Then it was an easy transfer to iphoto from there...

It does have a USB port, I plugged it in and it told me I needed to download software, so I did and it still doesn't work. I'll have to work on it next week when I have some time.

Bummer :( I know when I first plugged my camera in, nothing happened. I hadn't bothered to try it out at home of course, just loaded up the necessary cables and figured it would be no problem...Problem solved when I realized all I had to do was turn the camera on so the computer could recognize it. Sorry yours isn't that easy :(
Keep trying!
Maybe....does your computer have a slot where you could simply put in the camera's memory card? That would be easy!!

I had the same problem too with my camera. Guess it would have saved time to read the instruction manual first, eh?

Instruction Manuals are pesky little books that everyone tends to throw away with the packaging without unwrapping it from its celophane. 8-)

Oh! Those things! Technically this is my Mom's camera, she picked it out, I bought it, so I've never really bothered to look at the manual. I like living on the edge and figuring it out on the fly  It does take nice photos though!
