Working for Hollywood Studios, I can tell you first hand: the cast members hate it, the people in the parade hate it, and the guests really hate it. I hope they get rid of it soon.

If that many people don't like it, it should fade away pretty quickly and quietly :D

Or, at least, this version of it... How many incarnations has the day parade at MK gone through since 05?

I saw the parade today and it was awful. First, it was way too short...as it started, it was ending. The music just reminded me of the 3pm MK parade with some pop music thrown in. And the dances & routines are just so cheesy...save that for the Magic Kingdom parades but Studios is about Hollywood so bring back Stars & Motorcars, or bring back BPB. BPB was a unique parade which made it stand out from the MK parade. I loved the energy the performers had, the music, the green army men. Disney decided to cut all the good things out from BPB and bring out this parade. Horribile horribile parade.

It appears all the reviews are in for this parade and pretty much agree - it pretty much sucks.

Well, that's unfortunate. Not that I care much because never sit and watch parades. I never saw BPB, and I never sat through the entirety of Jammin' Jungle. And I've only sat through the MK day parade because it was my job.

But, that doesn't mean I want bad parades. Quality is quality, even when it's not directly effecting me. Oh well.

The worst has to be the temporary signs they sort of slapped over the old parade floats. Those really look tacky in the videos I've seen

But that's standard Disney recycling! I like how they take old floats from diffrent parades, slap some wreaths and wrap it with garlands - and voila! - it get re-used in the Christmas parade! Disney recycles parade floats all the time...

Now that is a great review to sum everything up. Sounds exactly like my reaction after watching a youtube video of it. I would love to see Stars and Motorcars come back, but I think they have moved some of the vehicles to other parks for other puproses. I could be wrong on that though. As for BPB, you are correct. The show stop was a very smart thing. As much as many people hated the stop, it was a great way to get the guest interaction. Just think where else would you be able to dance in the middle of a busy street with some of your favorite pixar characters?

True, and I don't have a problem with them recycling the floats, it is just the half-a%*ed job they did this time that is sad :(

I was torn on the show stop from the BPB. The one time I had the kids and we had the opportunity to sit and watch this parade we apparently picked a bad spot. We were there about 30 minutes prior and got (what we thought at the time) a premium curb seat and waited in the May heat. We ate ice cream so it wasn't TOO unbearable. But when the parade came to a stop in front of us, it was just the lousy trampoline and the tumblers were the only ones interacting with us. No characters were anywhere near us. I'm sure many have encountered this same experience and that's probably why the parade got bad reviews from many people. On the flip side... if a float with characters had stopped by us, then we would have thought it was the best parade we had ever seen.

It's a shame that this new parade is apparently lousy. I had really high hopes for this one as my kids love ANYTHING Pixar.

To me, the job they do with the floats in the Christmas Parade are equally done with low quality. I think DLR's Christmas Fantasy Parade is done with a better quality than WDW.

Well after a two week run, Tom Staggs agreed that there were issues. According to this article, he personally viewed the parade to see if guest complaints were valid. Reports say changes are being made to the parade which will bring in some more entertainment elements, Mr. Potato Head, and some Cars things.

What I am getting from this, the show stops seem to be something that might not ever come back. I see Disney going for a quick fix with this by adding in some Cars things like Mater and Lightning. I really wish Disney would just abandon this and either restore BPB or get a whole new parade with all new floats.
