Wait a sec mindflipper... Didn't you just willfully check this show out in December???

I willingly checked it out in December, but I wasn't ready for the traumatizing experience of just how BAD it is now as ETR: UNM. It should be like cigarette packages - there should be a health warning like "WARNING: watching this show can seriously impair your enjoyment of this theme-park today..."

the good news is that it's only about what, another 10 years 'til the wdw 50th anniversary? perhaps they too (like disneyland did) will revert tiki room back to it's original qaulity show for that year at least. i have never seen one person on any disney related web sight post favorably about this "new management" show since it's release. time has not seemed to soften this sentiment. sometime's you wonder where the heck they're finding these people that are running disney these days?

That would be awesome if they refurbished to the original show! But I'm not going to hold my breath or I might turn blue

That would mean TDO spending money that they don't want to spend for something they obviously don't want to bring back. Not gonna happen for a long while, if at all.

In order to get rid of ETR: Under New Management we first need to get TDO: Under New Management. Who knows how long that will happen!

one needs only look at how they handled getting the keys to the fantasy (cruise ship) a week early, to know that it will get worse.
hey, we can get one more sailing in this year! all you people that booked specifically to be on her maiden voyage, sorry about your schedule, or what work arrangenments you made to get the time off, change your dates or tough luck. look, we can't make up our minds about the fantasyland expansion... and the contractors are already in the middle of building, we're completely w/out direction around here, and that costs money. let's face it, we need to make up the finacial loss of this incompetance somewhere. you know, hard economic times and all? believe us, nobody feels it like our ceo and upper management. if you were us, you'd do the same thing wouldn't you?
now's where all business majors can blog about it being a corporation, and this being "good business". i'm a shareholder, and as is (lately) usual, i'm ashamed, but ya, disney stock is up, hooray.

Guys I work at the Enchanted Tiki Room UNM as part of my 2nd College program. I am now part time there. I wasn't working the night the fire took place but I know the person who was inside the theater when it happened. I can't give all the details but I am just glad that no one was hurt or injured (besides Iago)

btw I was a long term poster here but it's been awhile so hello to everyone I remember and to all the new people I haven't met yet.

I had wondered where you disappeared to, packwingfn. Glad to have you back here on Subsonic. So you work at ETR: UNM, eh? My condolences. Can you tell me why they made Iago out of red fur instead of red feathers? He doesn't look like a bird; he looks...creepy and weird.

Worst part is, Iago is one of my favorite characters and to see that awful version in ETR: UNM just ruins the character for me.
