well, i LOVE the blue bayou, but it was so great to me because i didn't have to pay for the food cuz i was 12-13 and that made it better. but the view/atmosphere is GREAT. especially when you're by the water, along with all of the people on pirates yelling to you to throw them some food = ) but that's ok cuz that's what else makes it fun. it's an awesome restaurant overall, if you're willing to pay the price for it. it's a lot like club 33, except, not as expensive and club 33 is SUBSTANTIALLY better and pricier. but they're a lot alike.

The Blue Bayou is my family's fave place to eat in the park. We've gone up around lunchtime and gotten in pretty easily, although lunchtime is around 11 am when it opens. I highly recommend that time, especially because of my all time favorite item: The Monte Christo Sandwich. It's only served at lunch (unless they've changed it recently).

It is a deep fried grease ball of goodness. There's something about turkey, ham, melted cheese in a sweet batter dipped in jelly. Mmmm.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:I keep hearing so much about the Monte Cristo sandwich. What's in it that makes it so divine?

That sounds kinda gross. But I'll have to try it. In my lifetime. I'm going to Disneyland next month, but my friends don't wanna do lunch at the Bayou.subsonic wrote:It is a deep fried grease ball of goodness. I agree! And I've had the sandwich at other restaurants (outside of Disneyland) and the Blue Bayou seems to have the best recipe! It is a deep fried grease ball of goodness. There's something about turkey, ham, melted cheese in a sweet batter dipped in jelly. Mmmm.

just about everything tastes better when it's deep fried. That sandwich sounds good, but I'd prefer it minus the ham.

One time when the line was too long we just ordered it and they made it for us. You can do that.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:I'm going to Disneyland next month, but my friends don't wanna do lunch at the Bayou.

Blue Bayou is the best overall restaurant in Disneyland (Club 33 doesn't count). The atmosphere is excellent, it's always a nice place to go at dusk.
