I give kudos to Disney and Reedy Creek for there innovative concepts towards fire protection. They actually had an article in Nov/Dec '10 issue of NFPA Journal about "Crafting codes for Disney World". If anyone want a copy I scanned it and sent it to several of my friends and collegues.
That would be awesome! Please send me it!

Any updates on the extent of damage and down time for the attraction?

Here you go, I decided to post it on my server and make it a shared file. The longest I can share it for is a year so I put it as that. It's only a 4meg file.

any time :D anything related to Disney and especially Fire Protection wise I'm on top of that. When I tried to get a job on Reedy Creek as a Fire Inspector I got the EPCOT Fire Code book hehe, it's very interesting.

Technically, isn't it that way every time someone gets on a roller coaster? Your safety is entirely in someone's else hands.

But you understand there is a risk when getting on more of a thrill attraction, a show like the Tiki Room you aren't thinking of a threat to yourself. That is when your smarts have to kick in and say, wait this is a real fire, not just effects....

Actually, there's always some risk to anything. For instance, I had not been on ETR: UNM, so I had no idea of the risk involved. There was the potentail risk of being appalled beyond my wildest imagination, and less than 5 minutes into the show I realized how dangerously exposed I was to this very threatening risk to my senses and my belief in Disney. Lucky, the show was short which help minimize the dangers I was exposed to in the show. I was glad I got out of there before any permanent damage could be done to my love of WDW.
