I did not enjoy the Block Party Bash as much as the Stars and Motor Cars parade. But the best of all was the Hercule's "Zero to Hero" parade! That may be my favorite Disney parade of all times.

There have been so many great parades, that it's hard to pick just one!
I really liked the Mulan Parade, but I think it was longer in DL than it had been at Studios. There were aspects we didn't remember from the Studios version but saw in DL. DL's Hercules parade was pretty good too, and we really liked "Eureka", the original DCA parade.

Probably my all-time favorite parade would be the Parade of the Stars (the DL 45th anniversary parade). The music was great and the guest interaction was fabulous!

I also really enjoyed the "Remember the Magic" parade at the MK in WDW. I'm not sure if that was the name of it or not, but that song was the theme throughout.

(notice I left the night parades alone...on purpose! )

Future Guy wrote:Personally, I miss Stars & Motorcars. That parade so perfectly fit the theme of the park. True, it didn't offer much in the way of guest interaction, but that could've been fixed easily enough. I'll reserve judgement on this new parade until I see it (if I ever do.)
I have to agree with you on that. I had to see that parade at least 5 times and loved it each and every time. I will agree with you on how perfectly it fit the theming of the park, but will emphasize that it WAS perfect for the park. With all of the recent changes to the park, I wonder how it would have fit in.

As for the new parade I do hope for more characters and I too will hold off on my opinions until I see it in person.

The new parade opened today and from the reviews I've read, it stinks. I'll reserve judgement until I see it for myself but I have low expectations knowing TDO not wanting to spend any money on anything.

Do you know if it at least has new music?

Yes.

Pixar, just like the last one.

From the pics I've seen, it is the same parade with the same floats and costumes with a few new characters from UP and Ratatouille minus the "show stops" and Green Army Men.

Wow so I just watched a youtube video of the parade and I am EXTREMELY disappointed by this. It is all the same floats with the Green Army men units being qucikly redone to allow the UP and Ratatouille to join in. The order of the floats is pretty much a reverse of Block Party Bash and the music is all new, but has gotten worse. The run time of the parade is about 6:30 (one of the shortest parades I have ever seen Disney have).

My first impression, I miss Block Party Bash.... A LOT!!! TDO really messed up big time and I don't give this thing lasting long at all.

Bad visitor feedback killed DLR's Light Magic (so much so, that Disney acts like it never happened), so it could happen with this parade...

I wasn't too fond of BPB, probably because I've worked crowd control for it and I've seen the cars from Stars and Motorcars being disassembled  but at least BPB was fun (and had those nerf balls shot out of the floats after show stops. Those were great stress relievers!).

Ok, I checked out the parade on youtube ~ It looks like Block Party Bash without the stops. And the particular parade I saw had some pretty sloppy dancing from the CM's :( The only reason I might stop to watch a parade is so I can get some photos of the characters. This does seem like a step (or two!) down in quality for a Disney parade. I really am disappointed in the music  this is not a show I would want on my mp3 player :( And one of my favorite pieces of music from Paris is from a parade!

Not every parade is NOT a winner - you need to check out DCA's Eureka to know that's true!

here's an "unplugged" review (mostly pics): http://www.disunplugged.com/2011/01/16/ ... d-studios/ as i said back in sept. on this thread, i didn't care for the last one. to me a shorter parade is better, i personally think they're a waste of valuable ride time and i don't like having to walk excessively out of my way to circumnavigate them. however, my kids like them, and i think they will more appreciate seeing all these pixar characters they know. if this thread is still alive this october, i'll give my thumbs up/down then.
