Pirates of the Caribbean 4: On Stranger Tides
I thought there was a topic about this already somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Please feel free to move if needed...
So the trailer is out for the latest installment of Capt. Jack's adventures...

I just saw the trailer on YouTube. I was hoping they would get into more detail about Will being Davy Jones, no luck. I will see it anyway though

Yeah... Both Orlando Boom and Keira Knightley both said they were done with the Pirates movies. Besides, their story has been told. Time for new adventures of Captain Jack!northernmousefan2007 wrote:I just saw the trailer on YouTube. I was hoping they would get into more detail about Will being Davy Jones, no luck. We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Yeah, they confirmed that months ago. Though you might be happier they just sailed off to end their story rather than the original plan to kill off Will (and possibly Elizabeth as well) when they were throwing plot ideas around.

I'd rather watch a movie on Jack's adventures though I may wait until this hits the $2 dollar theater.

Actually, Orlando Bloom had said in an interview that neither Keira or he had been "invited" to be part of the cast. Keira Knightley has said in a face-saving quote that she was done with the films and did not want to do the 4th. I'm betting Bloom is right, but then again he's got the Hobbit to film (somehow, his character will be in the films whereas his character was not in the book).MadEye wrote:Yeah... I actually liked the preview! IMHO I thought it looked interesting from what I saw on the previews. I didn't care for POTC2 or POTC3 from their previews. My problems with those films were too much Will & Elizabeth, Cutler-Beckett, and Davy Jones, and not enough Sparrow or Barbossa. This film seems to be the reverse, and throwing in Blackbeard (Ian McShane) as well. To me, it looks more promising than the prior two films.

I like the second and third films a lot more then when I first saw them. I really like Davy Jones and what they did with him. I love it when cutler says "tell Jones to give them no quarter, that will brighten his day"

The next Pirates will have zombies, mermaids, more Sparrow, more Barbossa, and Penelope Cruz.
How can this fail?
