I'm not really sure, to tell you the truth. All I know is that they had people waiting for us outside, who then ushered us into the big main building (where some events from the Food and Wine thing had recently been) and took us upstairs to the large conference room you see in the pic. I don't know about any other buildings or building names. Maybe someone else can help me out here....?

Also, I love your "Day 2, part 2" report. Awesome narrative, and great pictures! Interestingly, you seem to have been bitten by the Bad Trip Gremlins too! We were sitting around with the Boilers one day, talking about all the things that had been going wrong for them and for us as far as the rooms 'n stuff, and we were all wondering if this trip was jinxed or something! We decided that Disney's quality of customer service had gone waaaaaay down since last year. It's really sad. I called it "Death by a thousand little cuts." Throughout the trip, every time something would go wrong for either of us, I would say "...a thousand little cuts" and we would all shake our heads... I can't remember how many times I had to say it.

I thought you'd like that....

Thanks for the compliment (although I was hoping no one would notice the off-centeredness on that one....  ).

Mousekedittos on that! But we keep in close touch with them, and I'm sure they wouldn't mind my saying that they've been going through a lot of drama lately... just a lot of annoying little "busy-issues" and stuff. I know they'll be posting more when things settle down.

You're very welcome! What size screen do you have? Due to the Subsonic Gods' rules, the shot I posted is only 800x600 screen resolution (basically sized to fit a 15" monitor). If you want the full-size original file (4608x3072) just let me know and I'll email it to you. :D

Was the building on the little walkway between Future World and the World Showcase on the Mexico side? If it was, then that would be what they used to call the Odyssey Pavilion.
I'm thinking a big part of the room difficulties this trip was due to the resort being fully booked. I was told that several times over while trying to straighten out the various problems, one of the biggest being given only one bed when we had specifically requested two. I don't know if it was true or not but they told me that every single room in the resort was booked because of the competitions being held and just the holiday season. I think normally they do what they can to shuffle you around when there is an issue with your room, but if there is no where to shuffle to...well, that is a problem. I really think there are some open rooms, because look what happened with your mildewy room, you were put somewhere else and it was cleaned and ready to go! Even with the inconveniences, at least we had a safe place to lay our weary heads at night, even if it wasn't exactly what we had reserved.

I think the building they do the Food & Wine stuff in is the old Wonders of Life Pavilion. Horizons1 was there recently and took the creepy pics of Buzzy, I believe. Horizons is now Mission Space, so that can't be it.

You know, looking back at the photo of the WDW today hosts, the background does look reminiscent of the Wonders of Life Pavilion, I wonder if that is it? I forget sometimes that M-dude is still a relatively new WDW convert  sigh... ;)

M-dude, was the pavilion you were in located,
A: next to Universe of Energy?
B: on the walkway to World Showcase on the Mexico side?
C: none of the above.

I am loving these reports and pictures of all the subsonic members. Keep it up!

Hey, be patient with the boilers, dude. boilerbabe will post in her time. Getting back to Disney and then to have the holidays, miserable weather, and work makes it harder to deal with post-trip blues. Plus, I'm sure she's trying to get some useless trivia packed into it from Boilerdude.

Len90: Minnie is a very busy mouse. She works 24/7 at WDW, maybe she just doesn't have the spare time. I'm sure she spends what time she isn't working with Mickey (y'know, her #1 guy - hate to say it to you, but you can only be #2 at best)...

Where and when the heck he had been. As Horizons had demolished some time ago, I had wondered if the Mousekedude had done some time travelling recently. Gonna have to check to see if my TARDIS is in my back yard safe and sound....
