Actually, a minor clarification here: the annual passes run by the date you first use them. So if you buy it now, but don't actually go for another two weeks, for example, the clock will not start ticking until you actually use it to enter a park for the first time. Pretty cool, huh?

110 DAYS!!!!! I'm beyond excited. As some of you know, I'll be turning 50 in April. Last year Chuy and I agreed to go to Barcelona for the big event. But over the last few months I've been feeling that my heart really wants to be at WDW. As a child, every time my mom asked me what I wanted for my birthday dinner I would say, "Columbia Harbour House!". But we were never there during my birthday. So today, thanks to my AMAZING, AMAZING friend's very generous magic wand waving, I'll be staying at the Contemporary (Magic Kingdom view thank-you-very-much) from April 4-9, then boarding a plane to Barcelona for 4 days! I'm truly, truly blessed. What a start to the next chapter of my life!!

Congrats on the milestone! My birthday is April 6, so I may try and weasel out a trip to WDW for it. If I manage it I'll have to look for you guys! And add me to the list of people who would not have guessed you were turning 50!

My birthday is April 8!! And our 12th anniversary is the 9th. COME ON DOWN! It would be great to meet some people from here face to face! I've loved reading your reports. Keep me posted if you think you'll be able to manage a trip in April ok?

It's funny--I am really embracing turning 50 and tell everyone how old I'll be when given the chance hehe. I act like a 12 year old most of the time anyway. Plus, I keep sunscreen in business! It really helps.

Sadly, no. Apparently the ticker just starts over after the due date has arrived. As you can see, I've corrected that now by removing the ticker.
I can't wait for the time to come when I can start a new ticker, though!

Love the Cancun pic too. It brings back fond memories of my own honeymoon there... and the two other trips we've taken there since then. I look forward to going back again some day too. May I ask where that pic was taken? We've always stayed at the Cancun Palace, and as a result we could visit all of the other Palace resorts as well. So that shot looks kinda familiar.

We aren't drinkers so AIs don't really work for us. We had our wedding, and usually stay, at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach. It is up at the top of the "7" facing Isla Mujeres. I like staying up there because, unless there is a hurricane approaching, you can always swim in the ocean there. If you stay along the long-east facing stretch you are at the mercy of the undertow. We stayed at the Royal Mayan last months for 2 weeks (we rent from owners on TUG2 site cheap) we could only swim in the ocean ONE day. The waves and undertow were just too strong the other days and I'm a diver/good swimmer. We own 2 1/2 acres west of downtown Cancun on the free road heading to Merida. Hope to one day build a retirement home. With Chuy being Mexican we were able to purchase "ejido" property very cheaply. More info than you can to know, but when we do build the house you all can come stay in the cabanas!! What year did you honeymoon??
