You're still thinking too slow. :D

Since publishers have grown tired of the first sale doctrine taking a piece of their pie they have been upping the use of digital streaming, downloads, and other digital only content while at the same time trying to get the laws changed to make it illegal to sell used books, movies, cd's, games, etc. Even netflix is helping it along/seeing the writing on the wall by bolstering their streaming services, which comcast apparently is trying to topple, and the ceo was talking about how within 10 years there will be no more discs.

BluRay (not Blue Ray :D) did win the format war and is pushing out DVD as well... so I would say it's not like the 8 track, more like the cassete tape since it has a strong hold now but won't keep it.

It was either this or there would be a longer rant on why disney can never remove anything. :D

Just to go off off topic here, wouldn't it be awesome if the new theater showed classic disney films? I saw Beauty & the Beast at the DTD amc a few months ago & wish that there would be more opportunities to see the classics on the big screen.

That's not really off topic as we are still speculating what Disney COULD be doing with this area. I think a theater or two devoted to classic Disney movies would be a smart thing for Disney to do. My kids love to go to the movie theater and most of the time there aren't any good movies for kids to see. I think this would be a decent draw for Disney. What do you think Wizzard? :D

I like the idea of playing the classics in a theater...especially now that many of them have been again remastered and cleaned up. They would just need to make sure they don't set the prices too high. I wouldn't charge more than $3-$5...because these are movies you can rent or buy.

Also, the only thing that may affect these would be the movies that they show at the resorts. Saturday night on the beach at the Yacht Club they were showing Princess and the Frog. I think the All-Star resorts and Fort Wilderness also do this.

At the Yacht Club they also do them every night when it gets closer to the high season.

Actually, several resorts now do movies (although none with the great show that Ft. Wilderness has). Here's a link to December's listing: http://www.buildabettermousetrip.com/ac ... rmovie.php.

What does Ft. Wilderness do? I do like the one that the Yacht Club has where you sit on the beach in lounge chairs, I didn't stay for it but it looked like a good thing to do if you didn't want to go to the parks, clubs, etc.

Back on topic, for a little while anyway. Saw Tangled at DTD AMC (great movie, BTW) and got to try the Coke freestyle they now have in the new concession area. I must say the lime/vanilla coke I got was really good. If you haven't tried a Coke freestyle yet, it has a lot of different flavors of, I think all of Coke distributed drinks (grape Sprite anyone?) and you can mix and match anything you want! Try it if you get the chance. Hopefully Disney will implement these in some of their in-park restaurants. Ok, back to your off topic conversation.

I have no idea what you just said.

And because MadEye requested that we return to off-topic: Ft. Wilderness's movie night has a campfire and singalong beforehand with Chip and Dale. I don't know if the others do.

Meanwhile, back on topic, all I want for Christmas is the return of the Adventurer's Club.

Back on topic, if you've ever been to Hyperion you will agree that the real thing was never like the way disney wants you to think of it and the real one can only be improved by being burnt to the ground. :D

Off topic, ah that sounds nice.

Can I get Coke flavored Sprite at the freestyle machine?

If you want to mix Sprite with a Coke, then yes.
