Maybe what I should have said is Selling means just that, whoever buys then owns the existing duration of the lease and the points, the seller is left with nothing apart from the money paid for the transaction. With the initial outlay on DVC I would say you would not want to sell unless you really have to. However if you are interested there are sites for selling DVC ownership.

Can people charge what they want for their points?! Or is there a price range limit, if that makes sense?!

I would imagine that since it's a 3rd party sale with no ties to disney they can charge whatever the market will bear.

As far as I am aware the older sites like Key West are not as many points as the new ones like Bay Lake Towers, check this site out Boilerbabe.

I'm sure there are a ton of sites about that do this but that will give you an idea.

Disney charges different point amounts depending on a wide range of variables that include room size, resort choice (Bay Lake will cost you more than Old Key West for example,) time of year that you are booking for, and length of stay. That's the nice part about DVC ownership...you can tailor your vacations to suit your style. If you want to do one big two-week trip each year, you can, or you can book several long weekends.

Usually people who rent out their points establish a flat rate (in this case, $10 per point), but the vacation will cost more depending on when you go, and where you choose to stay. Fett, how many total points are you renting?

I wish this was for next year. We're hoping to spend 2 weeks in WDW during December. We could really use a kitchenette in that time to avoid spending a small fortune on dining.
