I remember the first time he made it though, it was like vinegar. He got better after that batch though.
Mead like vinegar? That's highly unusual. Yes I have, I've tried a few different strains and have the best results from American Ale yeast.

I am going to guess that it became mead but too much air got to it making it turn, like wine does.

Hmmm neighbors... is there a polite way to say "I like to keep my property values high, thank you"?

Mmmmm!!! Freshly baked bread!!! I can almost smell it all the way here!!! Memories of my Grandma and Grandpa's kitchen. He baked the bread and rolls and she baked everything else under the sun! Of course, being Italian there was always food being cooked!!!!

...reading back a few pages, those calzones looked fabulous Jacca!!!! (But I too am with the family when it comes to the anchovies...) I too cook by instinct. I can follow a recipe, but I have much more fun just throwing stuff together to see what I can come up with. This happens a lot when cooking with the crock pot.

Thank you!! ;+> You've gotta love how Italian men can cook!! We get it from our mothers!!

OH, The stuff you can come up with, with a Large pot and a good imagination. I once, a long time ago, had a girl friend get upset with me because I cooked diner at her house and she wouldn't believe when I told her that everything I use was in her kitchen. I think she got embarrassed!

.... yeah. I'm just going to leave that be for now.

So... if I cut the hands off an italian, does that mean I have given them a speech impediment?

Good boy! And yes, I'm pretty sure Italians are not able to talk without the use of their hands
