It doesn't sound as though this is a good program for adult students, or am I wrong? It seems as though a professional internship would be the way to go for the over 30 crowd??? Does anyone know if you have to go through the regular college program before doing an internship? I looked briefly at the website not too long ago, but still had some questions.

There are many, many "nontraditonal" students on the college program and the ones I've talked to seem to enjoy it just as much as anyone else! Sure, there are challenges with the age gap between roommates, but it certainly doesn't stop many older students from doing the program every year.

As for professional internships, there are increasing opportunities for people who aren't an alumnus of the WDW College Program. Check out http://www.DisneyInterns.com to get a complete listing for that. Many positions have already been filled for Spring 2006, but you can certainly look into next fall.

Yes, many thanks, Ria Lucia! It's something I've thought about doing for a long time. Whether or not it happens, we'll have to wait and see. I'm figuring it's a few years down the road yet! I've been taking classes on and off for the last few years, so I'm not in a big hurry. It's sounds SO wonderful. I'll be sure to check out the internship website, too.

Speaking of the College Program, I applied for it last month. I had my interview a few days later.

After checking everyday for the mail for three weeks, I finally received a letter of acceptance for the 2006 Spring Program!!

I pray that everything goes smoothly, and that maybe I'll get to meet some of you WDW fans.

Also, how does the interview process work? Do they send a representative from WDW there to interview you? Finally, did you pick the 5 month or 8 month program?

About the interview...

I went into the presentation thinking that I was going to be interviewed on the spot, but that wasn't the case. After the presentation, the speaker set up interview dates for each person.

My interview was done by phone, which is different from a couple of years ago. It lasted about 20 minutes with the interviewer asking pretty basic questions about why I wanted to work at WDW. My friend did the program two years ago, and said the questions were hard. But when time came, the interview part was pretty easy-going.

I received my letter approx three weeks afterwards.

I chose the regular 5 month program instead of the Advantage.
