WWDRH - I plan on checking out a couple of the resorts, so if I see anything that is a "must-do" I will be sure to report it on this thread. That should give you enough time to plan it. I won't post any pictures to spoil the surprises.

I am working on a little surprise for the fam that might give me some "extra time" to do some resort hopping, so this will work out even better.
Thanks to everyone for their advice---There is defintely a clear consensus on where to go...so far...!

I would totally visit the Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Clubs, as well as the Grand Floridian. These are probably the three best. The full scale gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian is amazing and their Christmas Tree is beautiful. The Yacht Club has a train display which is really, really cute, the Beach Club has the gingerbread carousel which is amazing and I can't remember what the Boardwalk has but I remember being happy in the lobby!
It's fun to just walk around the hotels at Christmastime to see all the trees, garland, lighting, and listening to the Christmas music being piped in. We're going, too!

WWDRH - You will be upset with me... as you will find out from my trip trip reports, I did not do all the Christmas sight-seeing that I wanted and planned to do.

You just have to go to Ft. Wilderness in the evening and take the hay ride through the resort. There are guests that come every year, decorating their campsites. Some are SO amazing, beautiful and creative. So, so FUN!!!

Cute photos NaCler! I love the little carousel swing that Donald, Goofy and Mickey and Minnie are on ~ I want to ride that

That curved gingerbread castle is amazing. Makes our little box houses with jujubes seem... well... very basic.

Hmm... I am no expert (although I did work in the railroad industry for several years). If I was laying next to it I would say that it was at least 2 of me length-wise, so I'd say it is roughly 12-15 feet long and easily 6-8 feet wide. It was an impressive display. I just wish I had better pictures of it. Sunlight was pouring in the windows every time I wanted to get pictures of it, so they didn't turn out too well with my older camera.Sleepy90 wrote:Oooh I love the train set.
