Yesterday it was about 95 during the day, so, of course, the perfect thing to have when it's burning hot out is wild mushroom risotto. 
There is also a hoisin glazed game hen (the flavor reminds me of Peking duck since it uses a lot of green onion as well), and more asparagus.

Yum! That all looks tasty, although I will think of it as tasting more like chicken since duck is not so tasty to me

Good one! Nope, strictly flavor. Not a fan of stronger game-y flavors. Even dark meat chicken is too strong for me

You might be a supertaster, ever been tested?
Supertasters are really sensitive (it stems from an evolutionary mechanisim to prevent the ingestion of toxins/poisons) so they keep more bland diets.

The test is actually really simple, it's a strip chemical impregnanted paper that you hold on your tounge. If you taste paper you're not a supertaster, if it tastes bitter (desribed as the most awful thing ever) then you're able to survive if we have a zombie apocalypse. 
It actually makes a great party game/spousal test since it's a genetic trait.

Where do you find the paper? Or do you know what the chemicals are? Off the top of my head I don't remember/know what the chems are but you can order the papers online. Just google search "Supertaster testing kit" or a variant on it and you should be good, might even show up on amazon.
