With this special offer, when you purchase a Magic Your Way Package or a Magic Your Way Package Plus Dining that includes a Base Ticket, you will get the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More (aka Magic Plus Pack) features without additional charge (a value of $85.20 per person). You must specify that you want the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More features added to your ticket in order to get them for free with the package.

There is also an additional discount on the overall package.

We hold APs and I'm just not a big fan of package deals - still seems less expensive to go ala carte.

You're right - it really depends - you guys go pretty frequently, so yes, it does work out to your benefit to hold AP's. I had a number of Guests yesterday save quite a bit of money (I'm a Disney TA), who don't go as often as you or I, and they were very happy to save a few hundred dollars.

I'm just glad they are offering specials - for most of the year at the beginning, the only 'special' they were offering was the new ticket pricing (Magic Your Way vs. older park hoppers)
