Do they post brand(s) of spirits used there or is it the mystery hooch that is "Well"?

Actually, they do tell you the brands. Plus, all the bottles are on display, and there is even printed information about most of them on the menus and such (we are talking about La Cava Del Tequila bar, aren't we?).

I have no idea, but I will say possibly. Normally with any cocktail I like to know which brand is in it since I don't respond well to some types.

I hear ya there. Some cheap Tequilas have additives that make me get really flushed and itchy... almost a rash... all over my neck, back, and chest. It's really weird. But most good quality ones don't do that at all to me.

Apparently they are serving Scorpion Tequila... I've never seen this before. I'm sure that one would make you feel itchy after eating the scorpion.

Actually, there's some truth to it. A long, long time ago, in a State far, far away, my sister's first apartment was in the basement of an old building. They were always getting bugs and snakes and stuff in there. One day I was visiting her, and her roommates started screaming and running around, and I was all like "what the heck...??!!" and they were jumping up on the furniture and yelling "scorpion! scorpion..!" So naturally they all expected me to do something about it. So I start searching for it.... and suddenly this thing comes skittering out from under a couch, heading straight for me! It was the nastiest, ugliest, ghastly-white looking thing I had ever seen, and it freaked me out. Naturally I put the disgusting thing out of my misery promptly with a well-placed stomp of my boot. It was pretty traumatic though....
Nope... don't like scorpions...

When I lived in Ga. I was on a stepstool reaching in an upper kitchen cabinet. I felt something on my hand, I looked up at my hand and there was a red scorpion on the top of it. I screamed and went flying off of the stepstool flat on my butt. all my x-wife could do is laugh! I didn't even know we had scorpions!! I think that one died of fright.

You're lucky it didn't sting you when you flung it  Guess you should stick to the scorpions found in the ambience bottles
