Oh, I get the "quiet, sentimental tear" thing going when the Dole Whip machine runs dry, but the wailing and sobbing hysterically doesn't start until the rum does too!

On topic so as not to get negatively Subsonic'd (Doc R. has been on the prowl lately): I think with all the walls and construction, there's probably a whole lot more wailing and crying going on when the little kids whose parents didn't do their homework arrive to see their favorite parts shut down and blocked off.
It will be really interesting to see how far along they get by December. I like the idea of riding Dumbo to take pics.

NO RUM!!! Then it's time for a REVOLUTION!!!!

There's no rum because Boilerdude consumed it all - again! That's why he hasn't posted on the boards lately - he's too busy scarfing down all the rum!

Back on topic, I had read that the plans were being revised for the Fantasyland Expansion - has anybody heard or seen yet what these revisions will be exactly? It was an amibigious blurb in the press due to change of management, but I haven't seen any exact details of what the changes would be... :mickey: :?

Just got back from our Disney trip last weekend. While riding on Dumbo I got a good look at the construction beyond the big blue wall.
Here is a panoramic photo I stitched together. For reference, the image stretches from the restrooms behind Pinochio's Village Haus over to the trail up to Toontown.

Awesome pic BLT!!! Kinda reminds me of going on Mickey's Fun Wheel in DCA to get pics to the Carsland construction.

It will be awesome to see them build up the new Fantasyland!

Was there today and you can clearly see the construction for TLM and BatB Be Our Guest Restaurant from ground level (near Friars Nook and walking toward Fantasyland from Tomorrowland. Moving right along.

What camera did you use to take that photo? Or did you merge multiple photos?

Thanks. Panoramics are a hobby of mine. I use an "old" (2005) digital Kodak camera that does pretty well. I merged the pics together in Photoshop. It was really quite lucky to get the photos almost all to line up. Usually I'm standing still rather then looping around on a flying elephant.

You know there's a digital camera out on the market now that takes panoramic shots - without having to merge photos in photoshop! Unfortunately, I can't remember which camera it is. Anyone have an idea of which digital camera can take panoramic shots?

I used to have a camera that took regular and panoramic shots. It was also an underwater camera, but unfortunately it bit the dust a few years back in the middle of a snorkeling trip :(
I think several different companies make panoramic cameras now, but with the software that is available, you are probably better off getting a good camera and stitching digitally.

It's a Sony camera, the Cyber-shot, I think, but there are probably other models with the technology.
But getting back on topic, I was hoping that the big tents in the picture were the new Dumbo Tents already being constructed, but I quickly realized that those are still the judges tents in Toontown. Apparently this must be phase 1 of the project since they are already revising what is going to be developed. I guess they'll close down Toontown when they're ready to build the tents for the new Dumbo ride.

Great picture!

I was there a few months ago and it looks like there is a lot more activity now.

There is. Be Our Guest (Beauty and the Beast restaurant) is going vertical and The Little Mermaid ride almost has all its outside walls up already.

Whoo-hoo! Maybe the Little Mermaid will be done waaaaaaaay ahead of schedule and be having soft-openings in December :ariel: Sigh, ok, no, I know it won't, but that is cool that there will be something to actually look at :D
