Re: Illuminations vs. Wishes
I voted for Illuminations since I have never seen Wishes.
(besides, though I know Wishes came before the 50th Anniversary of DL, I can't help but think only of "Remember Dreams Come True" when I hear that music...)

Why can't I like them both? The only benefit of Illuminations is that you have a wider hooch choice when watching.

I like Illuminations, its very cool to watch. But wishes is Disney to me, it often makes me tear up standing there with our family!

Illuminations. Especially sitting at either Mexico w/ a Dos Equis or England with a Bass.

Re: Illuminations vs. Wishes
I think it's a tie. Each is a favorite with me for different reasons. When I'm thinking "all warm and fuzzy-hearted, family-time, tears-in-my-eyes traditional Disney", it's Wishes... without a doubt. But when I'm thinking "dramatic, world-of-humanity-with-all-its-awesome-diversity, metropolitan-sophistication-let's-party Disney", why then it has to be Illuminations! Especially when you factor in the need for appropriate libations....

DW will tell you right now that she would prefer Illuminations 10 times out of 10 if for no other reason than the stampede of people trying to leave at the end of each show. It is much, much easier to enjoy your way out of Epcot than it is being crammed into Main Street USA. You literally feel like cattle being led to the slaughter.

Re: Illuminations vs. Wishes
Ah yes we call this the Disney Shuffle, part and parcel of Wishes but I wouldn't miss it, this is the Disney firework show for me this is the one I want to see above all others. I can miss Fantasmic, I do like to see illuminations but Wishes is a must see. I have to say we do go fourteen days at a time so it really is not an issue for us.theBIGyowski wrote:DW will tell you right now that she would prefer Illuminations 10 times out of 10 if for no other reason than the stampede of people trying to leave at the end of each show. Re: Illuminations vs. Wishes
This one really depends on the time of year. Non-holidays I'd say Wishes, hands down. The holiday add-on to Illuminations is so amazing, though, that it's by far my favorite at Christmas.
Re: Illuminations vs. Wishes
As a fireworks show, illuminations i think is more spectacular, I enjoy wishes, but if you ever see the Disneyland Remember, dreams come true fireworks, wishes kind of pales in comparison
