The only info I've been able to find has been at The Disney Corner in which it only says 2005 - 2006. Exact dates are not given unless they're (WDW) are really close to completion. I'm going to call WDW today and I'll ask.

When I was there in June they said the South Wing was the only thing closed down and that it would take about a year to complete that. I don't know about shops and restaurants though.

My neighbors just got back from staying at the Contemp and while they enjoyed the stay they said the area they were in was "messy" and they wish they had chosen a resort not under rehab -- for what it is worth.
