My Mom and I always hurry there during the early morning special hours. People look at us weird, but that is the only opportunity to get on it with a minimal wait!boilerbabe wrote:What type of food is at the Hoop-Dee-Do Revue M-dude?! Thanks for posting the pic.
We've been lucky to catch Dumbo during MVMCP, there was literally no wait! Otherwise, I know what mean, the line never moves!

Did anyone ever explain what liquor around the lake is (aside from a hillarious sounding inuendo) or is it the world showcase bar crawl?

I seem to remember having a fantastic red wine in Morocco. Was that maybe only during the Food and Wine Festival?Wizzard419 wrote:You get either a free pass or a repeat at one country since the Moroccan pavillion doesn't serve alcohol (if I recall)
Oh take that back, they do appear to serve beer.

I did a quick search and they at least serve beer and most likely wine. Which is odd but non entirely unheard of for an islamic place.

In other words, BBQ ribs and chicken, baked beans, salad, corn bread, some veggies, unlimited draft beer, wine, and soft drinks... and for dessert: homemade strawberry shortcake that is to die for. There's more than you can possibly eat, and it's all mondo-delicious.
As for Dumbo, let's get there early, and we'll be able to ride it together.

The food does sound delicious M-dude! And lets all try to ride Dumbo together!!!
We usually have to FP Peter Pan, that's another tough one to get on w/o a crazy wait!

I think I'll turn into an archaeologist these days, all these old threads I stumble across...
Anyway, I've still not done Expedition Everest, and I deeply regret that. My last trip to WDW was in 2006 (gosh, I was like 15 then), when EE just opened as part of the Happiest Celebration on Earth. We only got to spend one day at Animal Kingdom and on this very day, EE broke down for most of the time --> No chance to ride it

Every time we go, the whole family says "we are going on Tom Sawyer Island this time." Needless to say, we never do. Next time we are definitely doing it...

I was going to try to get to Tom Sawyer's Island and look for paintbrushes this past trip, but I never made itdougfies wrote:Every time we go, the whole family says "we are going on Tom Sawyer Island this time." Needless to say, we never do. Next time we are definitely doing it...

Re: What have you still not done?
Yeah, that's the problem when you only have limited time in Orlando and don't get to visit all parks for two daysAmy wrote: That's sadYou'll just have to plan a trip that is longer so you have a better chance to ride it

I guess Tom Sawyer's Island is a pretty good option to leave out if you haven't enough time. But I went there every time, a good spot if you need a little break from standing in line. Just running around the island and exploring caves, regardless how old you are...dougfies wrote:Every time we go, the whole family says "we are going on Tom Sawyer Island this time." But, yeah, if you have to leave something out in the MK, that's it.

Yup same here. We loved the Island the first time we went but it just seems too out of the way.Amy wrote:I was going to try to get to Tom Sawyer's Island and look for paintbrushes this past trip, but I never made itdougfies wrote:Every time we go, the whole family says "we are going on Tom Sawyer Island this time." I think I'm going to make TSI and the paintbrushes a goal for next trip. Stay tuned!
