Mousekajunkies anyone???

I am currently reading a book called, "Mousekajunkies" has anyone else read this book? I am not that far into it, but it seems to be a book written by a guy who would love Subsonic! The author and all of his friends are major WDW enthusiasts seem to knoe everything about WDW. When they give the intro of each junkie, i feel like I am seeing everything through their eyes, and feel like parts of them make up the total me. I hope someone here has read this already!

Who is the author? And can you give a general synopsis of the book?

Author is Bill Burke, I am only about 70 pages in, which gives backgrounds on the junkies, and is talking about the hotels. here is the description I found on Books-a-million.com, and the full title is Mousekajunkies!:Tips, Tales, and Tricks for a Disney World Fix: All You Need to Know for a Perfect Vacation (Paperback)

I already recommend it! its great so far, lol. I did find it odd when they were talking about how great fall/winter time is they never mentioned the Osbourne Lights. They also leave out the Wilderness Cabins when talking about moderate hotels. I guess I should write a book!!! My parent have always teased me about that.

Maybe you should write a book! I was just curious about your opinion since I had bought a book a few years back and was a little disappointed in it. It was written by a former CM and I didn't feel it was quite what was described as far as the contents of the book went.

From what I've been seeing, it seems like everybody has a book of some kind about the World. It's almost impossible for any one person or group to cover everything in detail, so you have to check several sources. The most comprehensive and entertaining guidebooks we have found so far are "Passporter's Walt Disney World" by the Marx family, and "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World" by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa. Both are annual books, so both are continually updated, and offer great insights and tips. Of course, now that you mention those other ones, we'll have to check them out as well.

We like the MouseTales books by David Koenig...some really interesting stuff in there.

Hey bud. I tried recommending these books (there are 3 of them now. #2 is mostly AK and #3 is from EPCOT and DHS) on another thread but it didn't get much reaction. They are very good reads.

I won #3 in a D23 writing competition, so I got #1 and #2 from the library to read. I did enjoy them but did notice they were written toward a younger audience. It is fun to read any sort of fiction that is totally Disney based though
I have been lazy about reading #3 since it doesn't have a deadline like the first 2 had

Does anyone find the information these tour books to be redundant? I don't think there are any new "Tips and Tricks" that most of us don't already know about . What might be interesting are the "Tales" parts, because it's kind of like trip reporting.

I've been wanting to read "The Kindom Keepers" series for a while. I guess I'll have to hit the library. Thanks for the recommendations.

Yeah, the tour books can be a little redundant. After all, how many changes do they make in a year that you would need to update in an annual book? But that having been said, there is a lot of good information in there if you're willing to pick through the redundancies.
