Holiday Decorations at Disney Resorts

In your opinion, which resort has the *best* holiday decorations? And what makes them the best?

Well, if you mean resort, and not park... the lobby at the Grand Floridian takes my breath away. It's just so, well, *grand*.

I have to agree, I remember walking into the Grand Floridian on our first trip during the holidays, and it was just GORGEOUS! The whole atmosphere was amazing, from the immense tree to the man playing the piano in the lobby-it was truly unforgettable. Close second fave: Wilderness Lodge, of course (I'm biased, I guess!) :)

I love them all, for different reasons. I've got a bunch of shots of them all at http://mickeymac.smugmug.com/gallery/457488 I can't decide which ones I like best, but probably those at the deluxe resorts since there's more of it. :D :D

Mickeymac,

Thanks for the great x-mas pics. I haven't been to the world for x-mas in about 8 years, so it was nice to see. My favorite was always Wilderness Lodge. I think the atmosphere of the Lodge fits perfectly with x-mas.

some of the gingerbread houses look like what we did at the resort where I worked in Georgia. I'll try and find some of the pics and post them in another thread sometime around Christmas. really was interesting to make.

I can;t wait until next year when I (plan) to go down and get to see this stuff up close and personal. I'm already sure it'll be awe-inspiring...

Thanks for all the pix guys! The only resort I happened to see around Christmas time was the Wilderness Lodge resort and thought it was amazing.

Thanks, Mike. My family will be there and at POR over Thanksgiving, so I hope to go hog wild again. :D

Geez, 8 years since you've been there for Christmas? Methinks you need to go again... just for the experience, of course. :D

Absolutely Love the Grand Floridian, but my fave thing has to be the Osborne Lights... I'm a bit biased as well since I'm from Arkansas :D
