I assume this happened to you? I can't imagine that's common...sorry. It IS that great of a ride though!! :goofy_bounce: I don't think I've ever waited more than 7 minutes for it either and even then it's usually a walk on or you're under the actual dome when not many birds are...

I forgot some of the other loathsome queues until others posted! I still stand by (no pun intended) my hatred for all of the Fantasyland queues because I'll actually wait in them but man Astro Orbiters is TERRIBLE standing in that tight little cattle line waiting for an elevator...ugh! I refuse to wait more than 10 minutes for it and as such it's rare I get a ride as it is possibly the least efficient queue on property. And those people who ride Speedway always look like they are getting baked in the sun and basted in gas fumes!

As far as Maelstrom- I kinda like it cause of the mural and trying to find hidden stuff in it, but is that wall new that blocks your view? I don't recall ever having that wall blocking the first row or two of the line from seeing the load/mural area.

It's newer, in the last few years. They built it to separate the fastpass line and the standby line

Ohhhhh...that makes sense though I hate it! :P

I think they've had it for several years now, it's just nobody uses it. In fact, I think they may have stopped issuing Fast Passes for it all together in recent years sort of when they phased out FP for Haunted Mansion and I think a few other attractions when they started to get a little crazy as to the extent of attractions with FP option.

MK: Peter Pan. Long and windy.
Epcot: Test Track - winds and winds and winds and winds and there is only so much of that machine sounds music that one can take.
DHS:I agree with the FP Toy Story Mania - I hate standing in that claustrophobic striped wall area. I mean couldn't they have done something different in there. It's so nice and themed and really cool and then you get crammed in this hot, humid, sweaty smelling "room" with no windows.
AK: Safari - line takes FOREVER, even the fast pass line halts at the end.

I do think it's funny the number of people that dislike the RNR queue. I was sitting there thinking, geez, that's a really cool queue. But then I read on about people being stuck outside winding around. I guess I've never ridden it when the line was that long. I think I've only ever been outside for maybe 5 minutes. Value of going in May and October I guess.

They'll still use Maelstrom fast pass on really busy days. They had it running one of the days I was there a few weeks ago. But it's pretty rare.

Last time in The World we used Maelstrom FPs also---the standby line was something like 40 mins, so I told the wife--It's decent, but not worth 40 mins. So we hit the FP machine and they were for 20 mins later.
That was a head scratcher!

THAT's a riot.

Nemo in AK (especially the part of the line that bakes in the sun).

Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:I can't really think of any queues that I'll suffer for too long. I'm usually with people and we chat or just relax and that makes the time go by. The one queue that totally stick out is Big Thunder Mountain. It's too long, it's misleading for new guests, it's dark and confined, and it feels like it never moves. And I hate it when people sit on the railings and don't pay attention and don't move when the line moves forward!

Oh, and I don't care for that new sort of outer queue inside Space Mountain. The one where you exit the main queue area, and enter the long hall for a bit and then re-enter the main loading area. It's very drab and boring.

I haven't seen the new one for Space Mountain. I went last summer and they were refurbishing it. I was so sad to not be able to ride it.
As far as least favorite queues:
MK - BTMRR
AK - Kilimanjaro Safaris
EPCOT - Soarin'
DHS - Rockin' Roller Coaster (other than the awesome music.)

All I have to say is, hooray for fastpasses!

Usually, I manage to avoid most of the long queues (thank you fast pass) so I don't have any particular horror stories about Soarin or other similar long lines, but here goes my list:

MK: Peter Pan or Winnie the Pooh (Peter Pan = cattle lines; Winnie the Pooh is a disaster atm)
EPCOT: Counter Service Restaurants (I've really never had a problem with lines here)
STUDIOS: Lotso Huggin Bear meet and greet
AK: Primevil Whirl (Terrible and long)

MK: Dumbo
EPCOT: Test Track - That audio loop gets sooo annoying if the wait is longer than 20 minutes
Studios: Rockin Roller Coaster - Once you get inside it's great, but the wait outside is hot and nothing to look at
AK: Nemo the Musical

For me, every single park's show holding areas. Usually you've got nothing to do and no where to sit.

Oh I got another one, it's not in the park but the queue for the "Magical Express" since there is no real way to know when your group gets to leave, that and whenever I show up I usually end up standing in an empty line for a good 20 minutes before anyone else shows.

I can't think of anywhere on this planet that I would mind waiting on line except at WDW!! If I had to pick my least favorites, it would be:

MK: Toontown Judge's Tent- Nothing to look at except shopping and hallways.
Epcot: Test Track- It's just boring.
Studios: RRC- When it's hot outside.
AK: TriceraTop Spin- Such a long wait for such a short ride!

Surprised no one has said Sounds Dangerous for MGM... then again, I guess you have to "wait" in that line to not like it.
Epcot: Energy
MK: Dumbo and Teacups
AK: Nemo show
