I went last year and Disney supplied the bags and a map of candy locations. It was great fun.

Can adults really trick-or-treat too?
as much as you want. and by that i mean that you can go through the same line as many times as you want, there's no limit. there's also typically no line, it's more of a long walk through empty roped off turnstyles. i would suggest getting a "candy" location map. not because you don't want to miss a single piece of candy (which is largely junk, and usually a
single piece), but because the harder to find stations usually have the better stuff... not cheap qaulity candy! souvenir memorabilia, like commemorative mickey halloween (mini) decks of cards, etc. . stuff like this even we went through the lines again to get a couple more. you never know, so take your time, have your map handy, hit all the character photo spots, and hope for a good surprise at a few of the candy stations.
The Disney castmembers have been more observant to "repeat" trick or treat-ers. They want to make sure they have enough for all going trough. Last year I did experience lines for the candy stations but they moved pretty quick. I think I just enjoyed dressing up and playing at the Magic Kingdom when the crowds were much much less.

I've never been during Halloween, but we are going this year for the Not-So-Scary-Halloween Party! I'm super excited. My little brother and I are trying to think of costumes... Only one month before we leave!

That's exciting! Have you decided what you are going to dress up like yet?

We're going. On the 11th I think. Went two years ago. Felt very rushed to get the pictures taken with all the cool stuff. The pics with the rare characters is where the lines are. Waited 45 minutes to get a pic with all seven dwarfs. it was worth it but that sucked up a lot of the party time. Didn't know that they passed out stuff other than candy. Might go in some of the lines this year then. We're all going as pirates. Oh and I know everyone raves about the headless horseman but my favorite part of the parade is the gravediggers with their spark inducing shovels. Very cool!

Those gravediggers do sound cool! Do you have any photos?
And a chance to get a photo taken with the seven drawfs

No photos on my computer. used my mom's camera for that trip because DH had our camera on a separate vacay at the time (he went to Knob Creek, I went to Disney World)
Thanks for reminding me that I had no photos. I need to get copies from mom and then I'll see what's on there. Not sure if we have any gravedigger photos because it was dark and we don't have the best camera for night shots but we shall see.

amy i do have pics, but i am not sure about the whole uploading link thing i read on the genral questions thread. let me know your opinion about this because i have wanted to offer a pic or 2 in the past, just been unsure. and yes, the grave diggers are part of what makes that my favorite parade.

This is a cool video of the parade in 2008. It shows a lot of the characters you don't always see (i.e. Sheriff of Nottingham!) and the grave diggers sparks....

I opened a photobucket account. It is free and super easy to load pictures on them and then share them here. I know you generally have to re-size the photos so they aren't huge and then when you want to put them into a post, you use the 4th link down (url for forums) Don't be intimidated. Even if you have problems, someone around here is always kind enough to jump in and help!

That was a cool link NaCler! Thanks for sharing. There are a ton of different characters in the parade. I can see why people like the headless horseman and the grave diggers. Plus it had the hitch-hiking ghosts. They're awesome

That would be a parade I would make it a point to see

if this photobucket is reputable, i'll check into it tonight after work. the resizing is something i was wondering about. i assume this is applicable for an avatar as well. i did contact someone once via private contact for help on this. never got a reply. so possibly an open public q is the way to go... even if i do feel kinda dumb asking what everyone seems to understand but me? thanks amy.

I think you will be happy with photobucket. It is what was suggested to me when I first inquired about posting photos on here. It really is an easy site to use. I hope I wasn't the person that ignored your pm. Sometimes I don't notice that I have one for awhile

And don't feel dumb, I didn't know about photobucket or any of the other on-line programs (exept snapfish) either when I first got on here.
