Do you mean, like, "congratulations", or do you think I'm joking? I'm perfectly serious! She made the reservation for four just in case the Boilers can join us (we'll be with them at Epcot that evening anyway), but if they have other plans for dinner we may allow another couple of our fellow Mayhem Marauders to join us instead. Let the bidding war begin...!Amy wrote:That's a good one!!Mousekedude wrote:Mouseoholic scored reservations for us! We'll get to have dinner while watching Illuminations!

Re: Hacienda de San Angel Restaurant
I was at Epcot for a quick visit Tuesday night. They were doing full dress rehearsals in both the sit-down and quick serve sides, although neither of them would let me in. I was two days early!
The extension looks good

But sitting here will be impossible after about 7pm

The Hacienda side is really pretty

And the water view rivals that of the UK restaurant on the other side of the Lagoon

No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

I wonder if this is going to happen for all the countries? Adding on real estate in the form of resturants with views of the nightly show isn't a half bad idea since it would draw in money.

Hooray for NYC!Jacca5660 wrote:I think it comes down to, If you want the best of anything, you go to New York! This mixologist from NYC was most likely stolen from a restaurant in the South West. ;+>

Well, think about it like this, it is likely the mixologist's drink creations cost upwards of $18 here in NYC, so they're probably pretty good. New Yorkers are used to paying inflated prices for drinks at bars, but if they aren't good, we band together and don't order them.
Re: Hacienda de San Angel Restaurant
I passed by there last night. Looks very nice, but the prices are wayyyyyyyy up there....including the quick-service food.

Re: Hacienda de San Angel Restaurant
I guess the better question is "Are the food and drinks worth the price on their own or is it a price that was inflated for the view?" In all the beachtowns here if you dine at a resturant on the ocean side of PCH you can expect to pay 10 to 20% more than if you're at a place on the other side purely because they have the view.

I think all of the food prices are inflated but Wizzard might have a point on the location adding to the prices of this particular restaurant...

This looks really nice but I'm disappointed. We really enjoyed the way it was before, the food was not that pricey, very good and you could get an awesome view for Illuminations, you just had to get there in time. I guess all good things must come to an end?!
