Why not?
As some of you know, me and the better half spent a day at WDW. Why? Like the title of the thread says: Why not?
I'm not going to do a full trip report just yet as I have some pictures to go through, etc. But I will give a tiny synopsis of the day:
Chef Mickey's for breakfast, Magic Kingdom, MGM, and Epcot Center.
Either way, I'll have the full report either tonight or tomorrow depending on how many pictures I have to go through. Till then, let the suspense begin... LoL.

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Re: Why not?
Ooh, that sounds real fun there. Can't wait to hear all about it.
Re: Why not?
Disclaimer: I don't like putting my face on any sites that someone I don't know could get a hold of and use to their hearts content so I edited my face out. My girlfriend on the other hand doesn't mind.
And now, onto the report.
So. Started off the day with a reservation at Chef Mickey's at 8:20. Mickey doesn't go through the restaurant any more. He is now at the front of the restaurant for group photos. Minnie, Goofy, Donald and Pluto still roam around. Got photos with Mickey, Minnie, the Goofster and Donald. Yes, there is one missing. We got snubbed by Pluto...
The Mickey waffles were small but good. Other than Pluto, Chef Mickey's for breakfast is something I will gladly do again!

Next up was the Magic Kingdom. They had all the Halloween decorations up for MNSSHP and I believe the first one was that night. First and foremost was Space Mountain with its new music in the ride (check the Space Mountain music thread for a description). It was fun and it was a walk on. We decided to ride it twice and on both sides. After that was TTA (Peoplemover). You can hear the new music from Space Mountain while on TTA. Adds to the ride a little. I just wish they had the original Mr. Tom Morrow spiel. After TTA we noticed that Chip and Dale were doing a Meet and Greet in their space outfits. The cool thing about this M&G was that my girlfriend was in Entertainment for her College Program in 03 and she used to be friends with Chip and Dale (among other characters) and this was her first M&G since her CP ended.
Chip didn't want Dale in the photo(s) at first:

So Dale left for one picture:

And then stood in front of the next one:

And Chip reconsidered:

After we said our goodbyes with the Munks, we headed over to Fantasyland. Asked a character attendant if three certain characters were out. She told us within 30 minutes but we didn't see them which was upsetting because we've been looking for them for a while. Decided to ride Dumbo because we hadn't been on in years. Saw over the expansion wall and the Beauty and the Beast area has vertical construction, mostly the new restaurant and spotted some temporary railings for the outside of the foundation for Little Mermaid. Also went on Peter Pan, which was almost a walk on as well.
After that we headed to the Haunted Mansion. It was great as always. Big Thunder and Splash were also walk ons. Anyone else get more wet on Splash from the log falling and splashing you from the right than the big drop? Went back to Fantasyland to try and find those characters and didn't.
Then we decided to head over to MGM. No walls at Star Tours but the shop, tatooine traders, was still open and a wall was blocking the view to the exit of the ride. Headed over to Great Movie Ride and waited 15 minutes to get a Bandit show and got the greatest Bandit in the rides history (I've worked with him I would know). It was great as usual. Then we went on Tower of Terror. Good news for those of you who remember the Eyeball in 5th dimension having your picture in it. The effects from Summer Nightastic have been transfered into the Eye and it looked good! One of the doors at the top of the drop shaft (called Horton doors) wasn't working and it added to the creepyness. After we got off the ride, we noticed some new ToT shirts. Since we were in the area, we did RnRc as well and it was also a very short wait. That was all we wanted to do at MGM so we hopped on the Friendship VI and headed over to Epcot Center but on the way decided to stop off at the Boardwalk for a slice of pizza. Along with the Yacht and Beach Clubs, the Boardwalk adds to the resort area and is cool to walk around. We finished our lunch and hopped on another Friendship boat to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot Center.
As we were walking into World Showcase we noticed a Meet and Greet going on and lo and behold... It was the three characters we were looking for in Fantasyland: Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drizella.

After we met with Cinderella's step-family we headed over to Japan for some Japanese soda (seriously, blueberry and kiwi are awesome). On the way out we noticed an interesting exhibit on Japanese folklore and how a lot of it inspires some Japanese Anime series. Its a cool exhibit and I encourage you to see it. After that we wanted to see American Adventure and as we walked in we caught the tail end of Voices of Liberty. AMAZING! Would have been even better had some foreigners not talked over, very loudly, close to us during America The Beautiful. The show itself is still amazing and the Animatronics still look great up close. After the show we walked over to Italy to see Via Napoli and its menu in person (EXPENSIVE!). I'm looking forward to eating there. Decided to take another friendship boat across World Showcase lagoon because our feet were killing us. On the way, got to see the outside eating are for La Hacienda. Nice and covered eating area is a vast improvement over the small umbrellas. We were going to ride Soarin' but our feet were still hurting and with an hour wait decided not to. Instead we went on Test Track and didn't have to wait in line (
). I have to say, it needs a big rehab. After that we went on Spaceship Earth and loved it as usual. Since we were at the front of the park and were really, really tired we called it a day and headed back to TTC on the Tronorail.
Good end to a great day.

Great day, and great trip report! Very good pictures, too. It's a shame you're afraid of blowing your witness protection cover, though...

Thanks for the report MadEye ~ you guys really did fit a lot into your day! I can't believe how little you had to wait for most of the attractions

Re: Why not?
We set it up that way. Knew that school would be open and the crowds would be small. In fact, it was so dead that we went to Universal as well the next day and finally did the Popeye and Dudley Do-Right water rides we haven't had a chance to do. The longest we had to wait either day was for Dudley Do-Right because of technical difficulties. Even the new Harry Potter ride was under 20 minutes.Amy wrote:Thanks for the report MadEye ~ you guys really did fit a lot into your day! I wish I could just pop into Universal to ride the Harry Potter ride. That does look pretty cool!MadEye wrote:We set it up that way. Knew that school would be open and the crowds would be small.
