Originally I was thinking the week before thanksgiving because travel would be at a low and all that, but I would need to be back home and free of jet lag by saturday so I could go get a christmas tree (it's a farm and we always are there crazy early to get a tree).
Then you might be able to make the meet and greet

I have turned the DW into a Disney addict now...as I knew I would...so I am hoping at some point we will be able to make a trip down there so she can see the Holiday overlays on the parks. Problem is that she is a teacher which makes it a bit more crowded when she can go.

That didn't take long!

It will still be worth braving the crowds and going at least once for her to see the holiday overlays!

I know. The last day of our honeymoon, they had the Halloween overlay done on MK, and DW loved it. I'll try to put a picture up whenever I get around to posting a trip report. It was the first time I had ever seen the Halloween decorations as well and we both loved it. We are much bigger fans of the lighter side of Halloween than the dark side. Pumpkins, scarecrows, and leaves are our cup of tea, and Disney was spot on!

Good times. How soon do the christmas overlays start appearing at WDW? Here they can be seen as early as the start of November.

We enjoy the 2nd week of December, after the parade taping and the Pop Warner is done. That being said it has steadily gotten busier each time. We are coming from Michigan so it feels like a heat wave at 50 degrees, but we have 3 times in December had to wear our winter coats and were happy to have them. I dont know how we manage to pick the times that have Freeze warnings for our trips but we do!
It is a harder trip to pack for, we take everything along. In the same week we wear shorts and t shirts when its mid 60-70's and jeans, sweat shirts and coats for the nights its in the 40's. Atleast in August I just take half the tank tops I own and shorts, no guessing there.
