He did pretty well. This wasn't an 'official' meet, it's a relay that they do. This is his 4th year of running and it might be his last. He's a lot smaller than other kids his age and it's starting to really show and bringing him down. We're trying to motivate him and keep him going so we'll see. Thanks for asking.
Well, if he really likes to run, then encourage him to keep with it! He will eventually catch up to the others! Running is something you can take with you and always do, if you really enjoy it, you don't need an entire team to do this sport! I'm still a runner.

Good luck to him!!!
I agree! One of the nice things about running is that you are an individual on a team. He can try to beat his own time for each meet. It doesn't matter if he comes in last if he has shaved some time off his personal best

That's what I always love about running, it's basically you against the clock! Sure there are other runners and if you're on a team, you want to do well to help your team, but it's always you competing against you!

Thanks, glad you are enjoying it. I realized this morning that I can now say I'm going on vacation 'Next month'.

I'll definitely post pictures and a report. My DS5 made his countdown chain the other day and he loves it! I need to post a picture of him with it.
I made a minor change thanks to some input from here and the family who is going with us. I switched our lunch at Coral Reef to the 25th, when we plan to spend the whole day at Epcot. This frees up our last day of ADRs which is good because we planned on doing park hopping, mostly at AK & MK. I'm sad though that MK will be closing early that night because of the MNSSHP and we can't end the night with wishes.

Well I'm just shy of 7 weeks until we go and I'm starting to feel anxious. I have almost all of my projects for the surprises done, just have to wrap the actual boxes, and will start packing stuff as soon as the weather cools and stays cool. Or until I can't stand not packing.
As for why I'm anxious, I think it's because I've been planning this trip for so long that I'm worried I've built it up too much in my mind. It's not like it's my first trip to Disney nor my first trip with my family. I know there will be melt downs and everything own't be perfect but I'm still worried. I'm just ready to go.

I bet you will have a great time. And you are already being realistic that not everything will go perfectly so that will be a big help as well. That's pretty cool that you have almost all your surprises ready almost a full 2 months before your trip!

Already having the surprises done is a happy accident. I've been purchasing bits and pieces as they've gone on sale and have a relative who said I could use his office printer (He owns half the business) so I had the shirts all printed up and two weeks ago when I had a couple days off when the kids started school and I had the house to myself, I turned on Subsonic and got to work.
I'm just trying to be optimistic about the trip, we've had good luck so far!

Nope, my name is Miranda. LittleBit is a nickname my dad gave me when I was young. I'm an only child but the youngest of 26 cousins who I always tagged after (A lot of time at Disney

) all of them so I guess that's why I'm called that. He (The grandpa who is going with us) still calls me that and I'm almost 31.
Hey! Another one and only here too!
BTW I love the idea of having welcome boxes. Great idea!

Our paperwork arrived today! My DS5 went through it with me and then went upstairs and packed two suitcases even though we don't leave until 3 weeks from tomorrow.

A week later and those bags are still packed. I should probably go through them. We have our big City Cross Country meet Sat morning and the celebration bonfire that night and I'm making a huge cake so as soon as I get that day done, I'll probably go through the stuff he 'packed' and then start packing for real.

Here is my DS5 several weeks back with his Disney countdown chain.
And these are some of the stuff I made for their boxes.

Thanks! That chain is a lot smaller now, only 6 links left.
And I thought of the earplugs after our last trip when my DS12 then 9 and I were constantly covering our ears due to the noise.
