Latest update from Micechat: Red Car Wigwag, A Bug's Path, Screamin' Blue, DCA Construction, Star Tours, etc.
I love the pics from Star Tours! It's getting crazier and crazier around the whole resort! I'll be glad when it's all done!

(btw Ms. Swann, love your newest location! Be sure to learn the kitty song while you're visiting her ;) )
I definitely will even if she's not sick!

Wow what an interesting update. I am really happy to finally see that area by ToT open without any walls. It looks like they really did a nice job there. I am very disappointed in Disney leaving the Dreams Tower open the way it is. I honestly feel they should just shut it down and work 24/7 to get it done in a more timely fashion. It is not like Disney to have guests walking around these long detours.

At least we're all getting an additional workout.

Wow more bad luck for Murphy. Some very interesting pictures of Disney quickly trying to hide things when they go wrong.

Crap like that happens when you outsource AAs.

Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

It's pretty sad to know that it broke DURING the show. I would have loved to see that happening, though...

I've heard that Disney no longer does any of the AAs in-house...do any of you know if that is true? That is what I really, really wanted to work with when I was younger!

Missy, it is really creepy when things in Disney go wrong. For some reason when you are in Disney you always think how cool it would be, but when something happens you just find it disappointing and to be a let down. I know I have been to WDW when the monorail incident happened and it really did give the place a very somber mood for the time when the system was down. I've seen the MSEP have issues which almost ruined the magic. After a while things are bound to go wrong and even Disney can't be perfect. It is not as fun as you think to see something major go wrong.

As for the AA's being outsourced, I think Murphy could be on the same level as the Yeti in EE in terms of reliability.

Yeah, that is true. I do remember your report on being there when the monorail incident happened and I can't imagine how effective that would be on a place or the people that witnessed it. I do hope that they get the dragon back up and running soon though I don't recall if they do Fantasmic after the summer but then again, I don't pay too much attention.

Speaking of the Yeti, is that AA reliable with functioning? Or has it been known to break down?

I think they run a very limited schedule of Fantasmic during the busier times of the off-season, like during Christmas for example. And as I understand it, the Yeti out in Florida hasn't worked for quite some time. And from what has been posted in various spots here on the forum, the Yeti isn't likely to work until a major refurb is done so it can be fixed properly.
Here is a link to an article that has some insight on the non-functioning Yeti.

It's been broken for years. The forces of swiping his arm at the passing trains broke its back and/or foundation, depending on who you ask. Repairs would require a lengthy downtime to fix.

Oh wow, I never knew that. That's a real shame to hear.

Yes it is a shame. Especially since Joe Rohde was so adamant about it being the best part of the attraction.
