Didn't we decide a while back to end this one at the top 5 instead of the top 3? :?:

Did we? (scurries off back through past pages...) OMG! We did! People were complaining this particular Survival was taking too long to end. I forgot, and I was the one who asked...

I did have an idea for a shorter survival game based on methods of WDW transportation:

10 Trains in parks (MK and AK)
10 Monorails
10 Main Street horse-drawn Trolley
10 Skyway (Fantasyland/Tomorrowland - extinct)
10 Peoplemover/TTA
10 Mark Twain Riverboat
10 TTC trams
10 TTC Ferries to MK
10 Resort Buses
10 EPCOT World Showcase double-decker buses (extinct)
10 EPCOT Friendship Boats (and like-kind for the EPCOT resorts)
10 DHS Tour Trams

I know I may not have some of the names listed correctly - maybe we can get our resident transportation expert, Len90, to review and revise?

Any feedback as to "Yes" or "No" about starting a new game?

Would the Disney Magic Express go under Resort buses?

Yay for the new game! That last one was a toughie when it got down to the last 10 or so...they were all good and I didn't want to take away from any of them. I wonder how long it would have taken y'all to notice I was +1 and +1 instead of +1 and -1?!

The Disney Magical Express can't be put under Disney Trasport Resort buses. They are both seperate items. Disney Transport is run by Disney and the Magical Express is run by Mears. They also each provide a seperate service for the guests. One is to and from the airport while the other is to and from the resort to the parks.

The TTC trams should be changed to Disney Transport parking trams. I also noticed that you left out the boats that run between the MK resorts and MK.

Finally, you are on a bit of a sketchy line when you include the Peoplemover, Mark Twain, and DHS Backlot tour. Those are technically attractions and never really transport you anywhere. The Mark Twain you might be able to get away with, but the Peoplemover and Backlot Tour tram would mean that you need to include the Speedway, Test Track, and others.

These are just my opinons on this. Is there anything else missing on this list?

I would have to agree with Len. The Magical Express and the Park buses should be listed separately.
Also, park attractions really shouldn't be counted as "transportation."
As for the completeness of the list, I think the ferry boats from Port Orleans and Old Key West to D.D., as well as the Sea Raycers (yes, it's spelled that way), got left out too. We've actually used all of those at one time or another to get from those resorts to D.D. and back.
But this is a good subject, so I vote that Mindflipper tweak it a little per Len's suggestions and "let's roll!" (pun intended).

Technically, the Peoplemover and Mark Twain (or actually it is the Liberty Belle) may have the same point for departure and arrival, but they do travel around a wide area that encompasses more than just one attraction or more than one area of the park. Peoplemover/TTA covers several buildings within Tomorrowland. The Liberty Belle Riverboat covers Tom Sawyer's Island, Frontierland, and Liberty Square. The Skyway went between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. However, a normal ride attraction - such as Test Track or Speedway - only moves around within its limited area/building and not beyond its alloted space. In that sense, the Peoplemover/TTA and the riverboat does transport one from one spot to another no differently than the Skyway, the trains, or the monorail (and in the cases of the monorail, the Skyway and the trains, you could if you wish ride all way around so that departure and arrival are the exact same point - they're on a loop no differently than the riverboat or Peoplemover/TTA).

And while the DHS tour trams don't travel too far nowadays, originally they covered more buildings and areas other than Disaster Canyon when the park originally opened. Over the years its route has slowly got trimmed down to the short route it has now. And originally with it, you boarded in one place, but departed at another (I think now it's all the same building, but it's been a while since I've done the tour).

The Main Street Trolley, cars, etc. are considered attractions (along time ago, there used to be a bus and auto, but I haven't seen either in decades - only the trolley occassionally). So is the MK train. I don't know about WDW, but at DLR the monorail is classified as a ride/attraction. If it's considered that there, I guess it would be that at WDW too. It's hard to exclude something just because it may be considered an attraction/ride. I would have to eliminate half the list just because a form of a transportation is considered a ride or an attraction in the the guide book. I tried instead to use the principle instead of does it travel between at least two attractions/rides/park areas/parks/resorts. If it does, I added it.

As for the Magical Express, as Len90 pointed out that they are owned by Mears and NOT by Disney, then technically they are really not an officially owned Disney World Transportation but an independent operation running at Disney World. I know they are other independent transports working at WDW, and I don't want to include them either. I have added the Sea Raycers. I don't know what the MK resort boats?/water taxi?/ferry? are called or what they are like, but if someone knows those details, then please add it to the list. As for the boats to D.D., I have no experience with these - what kind are they? Is it similar to a boat already listed?

So here's the WDW Transportation Survival list:

10 Trains in parks (MK and AK)
10 Monorails
10 Main Street horse-drawn Trolley
10 Skyway (Fantasyland/Tomorrowland - extinct)
10 Peoplemover/TTA
10 Liberty Belle Riverboat
10 Parking Lot trams (all parks)
10 TTC Ferries to MK
10 Resort Buses
10 Sea Raycers
10 EPCOT World Showcase double-decker buses (extinct)
10 EPCOT Friendship Boats (and like-kind for the EPCOT resorts)
10 DHS Tour Trams

Let the game begin...
